I spoked a mint condition R600 which will become my single speed go to.
The only corrosion is the nickel coating on the main chain ring.
I'm struggling to find one that isn't £70.
Anyone have one tucked away they don't need?

I should have been clearer. I know it's a cinelli stem, was once chromed and the badge was probably painted in there blue/red/gold. I don't know how old it is, model name etc. I'll put another image up. cheers

I just finished building mine:

It's from the 70's at some point. I managed to speak to the second owner who had it pure track since 1980. I bought it as a frame and built a modern version of the original.

Been building this for about a year now. Having bought this as a frame I tried to give a modern take on what it once was.

I managed to speak to the second owner of the frame. It was bought by him second hand from a bike shop in Reading circa 1980. Raced by him on the Reading velodrome from 1980 until 1990. The paint has been confirmed as original.

Having found some images of how the bike was back then I've tried to keep the parts as close as possible to those that were on it originally. Some are modern versions of the originals. Part of me wanted to keep it off the road. But I also wanted to ride it all the time so here we are:

Hi,
Building my bike and the 25c Grand Prix Classics I bought are touching the underside of the caliper.

Anyone got a Continental Super Sport Ultra I can buy off them. I'm hoping a 23c will work but maybe a 20c. Basically I'm after a gum wall continental to match the classic on the back.

Does anyone know what the practical differences are between 24h and 32h?
There's the weight saving but would 24h be suitable for f&r on a steel track not ridden on the road?

I'm not sure what rims to buy for my Raleigh Team Pro Track 1978 Reynolds 753.

I'm going to build it probably as a track only bike. Does anyone know what rims would have been period correct?

I know if I'm running it on the track then tubs are the way forward. What are the pros and cons for 32h vs 24h?

Any suggestions on 24h hubs?

I've been looking for a pair of Mavic 355 Bullhorn bars with 25.4Ø.

Having searched everywhere I can think of the only options I've come up with are 26Ø & 26.4Ø.

Can anyone give me a definitive answer to if the 25.4Ø exist?
