So, the taper's gone on the left hand side of my crankset (see this thread help!, in which i acted like a complete newbie) so i was wondering if anyone happened to have a spare crankarm lying about? This is probably highly unlikely, so i'd be willing to get the whole set if necessary.
Also, i need an Avanti front brake, so if anyone's got one of those as well....
Thanks!!

Either you're rocking a rare LHD set up, or you can't tell left from right.
you're right (pun partially intended)....it's been a problem for a long time!
if the crank arm taper is bollocksed, will i be able to tell from just a visual inspection? also, can it been fixed? or will i have to buy new crank arms?

i seem to have come upon a small, but possibly fatal problem...
the right (non-chainring) crank arm on my single-speed keeps unscrewing itself from the bottom bracket... it started happening a few weeks ago, so i just re-tightened the bolt, and it seemed ok, till it happened again this week, and tightening wouldn't stop it from happening with increasing regularity.
now...i'm not sure if this means that it is simply the bolt that is scuppered, or if it is something even more troublesome....anyone have any ideas?

saw some guy by south wimbledon station the other day, riding some curious thing where by the rear wheel was suspended below the frame on a hanger type arrangement (sorry for the unclear description - it seemed like it had no dropouts of any sort, and the hub sat in a little rail thing that attached to the frame itself). any one come across any similar thing / or have any idea what it was?

I would!
Would it fit a 6'1 person with short legs?
