Also very interesting to see the Change petitions breakdown of what the evenings would be like. I didn't see that info anywhere before.
50 people for two hours, then another group etc, and being able to actually tough them ? That's utter madness.
That's just downright cruel.
from the website and press I would not have expected that kind of a set up at all. -

I do think it's madness. I don't think there's enough detail on it. I'm not applying for tix because I don't have enough info on owl well being.
However, if it gets people thinking about owls and conservation then that's a plus side.
I don't know quite how I feel about it. I just saw owls and got excited. There are already a crap load of weird cafes out there. Like the cat cafe. Surely all the cats are just going to hide. I would.

I want to turn the 5 speed in to single speed so looking for a SS / flipflop 700c rear wheel, 120mm. Nothing fancy, but working. If it included a cog of around the 18t mark that would be amazing so I'm ready to roll. Also in the market for a 96mm front wheel. Again nothing fancy, just functional:
The current old steel is causing some hair raising moments, and is past its best.
I'm based East London and work by Tottenham court road for meeting purposes, will collect within reason or post would be super too.
Thanks! -
We now know his name at least. Chris Barclay.
So, if anyone knows him, or how to get hold of him, or how to get a message to him or something that would be marvelous.
The Police are involved, and are checking CCTV (I'm not sure why exactly, either they still have the bike somewhere or they don't), but really we'd just like to get in touch with him and get the bike back and we can then let the police know it has been returned, and everything is just lovely again. -
Yes, they have been contacted.
Unfortunately I'm not sure how much they can do. She wasn't given a receipt or anything when she left the bike with them. It's a second hand bike (bought off her mum) who has lost the paperwork, and she doesn't have a note of the frame number, so even if they did recover it it would be very difficult to prove it is the same bike.
Rather hoping we can just get in touch with the owner somehow and get it back that way. -
I've posted this in the cycle shop thread as well but trying to cover all bases. It is looking increasingly likely my friend's Giant Avail (small, black, covered in reflective tape) has been stolen. She dropped it off at Archway Cycles two weeks ago. She's been there every day this week and it seems to have suddenly closed down. The landline number is cut off, the mobile is cut off and the email bounces back.
If anyone has any info that may help us reclaim her bike she'd be very grateful!

Has anyone got any experience of Archway Cycles?
My friend took her Giant Avail (small, black, covered in reflective tape, otherwise fairly standard) over two weeks ago. Goodness knows why but there we go. Since then, no word, the phone has been disconnected, mobile number disconnected, email bounce back and the shop has closed.
If anyone has any info that may help us reclaim her bike she'd be very grateful! -
