Was idly cutting across Primrose Hill recently (which you're not supposed to do). It was about 6.30pm, dark and empty but suddenly realised there was a car following me which kind of freaked me out as the path is pretty narrow. I rode on thinking it must be the parky but then the sirens went on and got a pretty aggressive stop. Took all my details which I gave honestly and told I might get a fine.
Nothing as yet but put me off from that shortcut again.

Any recommendations for tyres suitable for the white gravel of l'eroica?
I'll be riding on Mavic MA-2 rims 13mm width so Sheldon says tyres should be 25 max (ideally).
I rode on a different bike with wider rims last year so would be grateful for any suggestions. I was going to go for Pasela Tour Guards but have read that they're not so good at 25. Vittoria Paves seem to be popular but are quite pricey.
Cheers!

Hello
I am trying to adjust the position of my brake levers but can't for the life of me figure out what I'm doing wrong and would appreciate somebody offering some direction.
For most levers, I think you just loosen an allen bolt which loosens the clamp holding them to the bars.
With these, I loosened the nut inside the lever which did nothing to the clamp. I have now removed the lever and am faced with this (see attached picture).
Does this bold pivot and release the clamp or is it something more obvious?
Thanks in advance.

It looks as though my bike may have occurred some damage to its derailleur and/or hanger.
Can anybody tell based on the photographs I have attached?
I'm not sure how it happened but it looks bent to me and the gears are not changing smoothly.
I've read that it's not too hard to straighten the hanger with a tool like the Park DAG-2 but would you leave it to a bike shop to sort out?
Thanks in advance.

If you get down to my next door neighbour's house, they are throwing about three (tv and monitors) out. They're outside the house at the mo'.
It's in Camden by the way...pm if you want further details.
Cheers
Edited: Not sure if they're working mind but the whole house moved out yesterday and I think they probably are but they couldn't be bothered to take them with them.

Thanks. It is a Condor carbon seat post; I'm not sure whether that means quality or not, but probably not on current showing.
I ride with a level saddle if I can (!) but perhaps if it has been slipping backwards, this might have exacerbated the wear on the clamp?
Do you think two bolt seat posts are generally 'better' for keeping the saddle tight?
-
Thanks for the quick reply. I'm not sure that it would fit the seat post looking at the shape.
Perhaps I haven't had the clamp tightened enough while riding. I generally use a park multi-tool to tighten but it's difficult to get good tightness on it.
It's a Condor seat post fyi. I've just been reading a post on another site from somebody else who's had the same problem. Perhaps it's worth getting a clamp with two bolts?

My saddle will not stay level in the clamp when I'm riding (the nose of the saddle usually rises up tipping me off the back of the bike) and I have to get off and re-level the saddle and tighten the clamp bolt after every couple of miles.
I took the bike into the shop and they had a look at it and pointed out that the groves on the clamp look quite worn; I've attached pictures to try and show this.
The fella in the shop reckons on a new seatpost. This will be reasonably expensive to replace as it's a carbon post.
Isn't it possible to buy a new clamp? Also, the the bike is only about 3 years old. Is there any reason it should have worn so quickly?
Any advice would be appreciated. Thanks!

You've lost me ?!
