How you thinking you will manage on the way back? To be honest with you I notice you mentioning road bike, I don't think I'll be good for you. I sold my road bike due to lack of usage and running out of funds. plan to get another once I am able to get bikes on trade at evanscycles (I work there), right now I'm riding my lil fixie but the gearing is perfect for all challenges I think regarding ascents.
Out of courtesy I'm letting you now ight now I will not hold it against you if you agree with me not being a fit for the group. If you'd still like my company than I have to say if by any chance I slow you down than please leave me behind. Infact, will tell you I'm dropping out if I get the feeling I am :)
Doubt it though :P -
Hi rookie, I'm riding back. Looking to average 15ish overall, though that may be optimistic. And Tricitybendix is riding back too I think.
Sweet :D Mind me coming back with you? 15ish is cool, I looked at the distance we'd travel in roughly a straight line and simply put, that line runs past sheffield, past leeds and ends up below darlington. You guys still on it? (AM I STILL ON IT!? lol) Should be a good challenge and i wanna see what a year as a courier has given me in terms of fitness...it's also cheaper.

OTP!!? M.O!!? what manner of mind trickery is this?? lol not up to date on my internet lingo.
Well I've always been thinking of riding on a fixed bike for a while but Seeing the guys at work (Bike courier) has made me even more compelled to ride fixed. I want to see exactly what it is that makes them not go back to riding their geared racers.
Before i started work, my bike was used for everything, fitness, commuting, haring down the road, social bike gatherings, you name it.I was thinking of Fuji track, classic or feather, but I'm trying to get myself out of debt, not work my way in more, and the giant looks like just what I'm after. Name brand, Price (I've spotted it for £200, Aluminium, pretty much the same set up as what I'm riding now.
How is the Capo 5 to the bowery?
-
-
Ever since the frame swap, its been my preferred ride.
Ohh?? does this mean you are considering selling the bowery then? btw what's wrong with it that has made it stay in the shop since the beginning of man? haha
how come you didn't like fixed?
I've been thinking of going fixed but it'd be a waste of money to see that i don't get on with it, may I ask for your thoughts on disliking fixed? -
Call first, as the shop is smaller than you might imagine, and they will be happy to bring extra stock from the warehouse should you wish it.
You still loving your bowery? I've been thinking about riding fixed for a while And my current Giant defy racer Which I have ridden for 2 years has not let me down in the slightest. so Thinking I cant go wrong with a giant for a fixed bike

Just realised - all Wetherspoons now open at 7am. Brekkie for £2.79, ale for not much over that.
Doh!
Except on a sunday mate, Me and few guys went to one near Holborn, wasn't gonna be opening til 10am, pretty pissed as it started to rain on me.....
Why does it alwaysss, Rain on meee? Is it because, I lied, When i was seventeen.. -
Fucking brilliant ride.
Big up the breakaway fast group. Pleasure riding with you all. So good to make it round the whole course and over the finish line.
Good navigation skills David and well done on the points race!
Big up indeed, who was you though? didn't get a chance to talk much with new faces.

Fucking gutted. Stopped to give someone a tube and tools to replace his punctured tyre, just couldn't find my way back to the front and spent ages getting lost. But glad i did catch some of you earlier on the ride, am now home and relatively dry (happier).
shit man was wondering where you was! just me and rich at the front but then even he disappeared somewhere behind. At the pace we were going at, if you stopped you wouldn't have made it back to the front. hope to catch you next week though man, the bridges ride and probs critical mass..

yes you pushy salesman! your tactics are an eyesore :P I'm feeling to ride back because I am almost broke and I know I can do it, my main concern is if I can save the amount of money I have now until dd day, get the food I need, and also have enough left over until pay day. It's tighter than a virgin right now.
As for tricity, the pace doesn't bother me, It's just I'm not really on getting lost that day....it's a hype, however a ciggy break every 2 miles?? didn't even think the need for nicotine comes into your mind when your on a bike. I was thinking a lunch break 50 miles back instead! :P
regardless, For will and Tricity, I'm gonna have to pm you guys at a later date what's going down because my funds are seriously low, for me to do this I'm gonna need to consume some mountain of food and that costs money..money which I may not have.
will let you know closer to the day.
