Fixed my voodoo monstrosity as gears are just not for me. Still needs a lot of things*, but that can wait will student loan comes in
*BB, urgently. bearings so dead it wobbles about 3mm either way despite the cranks being tight
tyres, probably something 40ish, semi-knobbly
grips
shorter stem
saddle
wheels eventually as these are outrageously shit and i've already buckled them just riding over roots in bushy parkother than that, she's dead good fun. ratio as about right for mild offroad i find so i'll be sticking with it.

I've U'dTFS and can't find the answer to my question:
Will SKS Longboards fit on my Large 2012 Pompino frame running 32c Paselas, and if not, which SKS 'guards will give me the best coverage?
I had longboards on my large pomp (bathroom blue) with 32 randos at various different chainstay lengths. no problem at all. IIRC they're specced at 35c max, but I would imagine it would be pretty tight on 35c.
longboards on same frame/fork with 28c marathons here
edit: welp, I was wrong. Longboards apparently go up to 45m (see below)

scrap that.
had a much better idea. will get a bolt on disc cog for my voodoo with front disc brake.
Just had a look now, putting the wheel the wrong way around in the drops (assuming rotor = cog sorta thing) the chainline don't look too far off.
So once I place an order with velosolo (19t cog, 42t chainring) it should look like this
but with less cables and sprockets. -
Quick post work session from the park yesterday.
switch footed funsies.

switch op feeble, switch feeble easy 180, switch 360 -
Aye, get that a lot. Just can't be doing with low seats.
I actually raised it as it's my only rideable bike at the minute and I need to get to work tomorrow, and even with the seat as it was I still got sore knees. Put it up so I could get better leg extension and it's surprisingly fun to ride so it's staying.

Yeah. It's been the topic of many sessions over the years. who will hit that bloody rail first and instead of being any one I expected it's Pablo the bloody posh whipper snapper from Richmond!*
Yes! I knew a full length would be out somewhere. Now you've posted Voices I'm debating whether or not to actually go to the pub..
*No discredit to the lad. Just a running joke, despite riding together a fair bit "my lot" always have what can only be described as playful hatred towards the murky boys

Yes! This came up on my Facebook earlier. Impressive stuff.
That last rail Pablo hit is insane in real life. Just by Kingston Bridge/John Lewis. Wild wild rail. Since I started riding, and every time I cross that bridge (usually twice a day) I think "Man, I would love to see someone hit that rail" but I never thought it possible due to the road being rather busy and the big curb/barrier in the way.
Yeah Murky are good, blog over.
Whilst I'm here I might as well (re)post some of my favourite bmx edits I've seen recently/past few years/some years ago.
AV EDIT on Vimeo
I think my favourite thing about this is the song. It is different to most bmx edits but it's dope. And shoutout to fellow fat bmxers obviously..Fathead Retribution Edit on Vimeo
First introduction to the life of Fathead. Nuff said.A Tape - Fenix Bikes - London/2011 - Viki Gomez & Phil Dolan Flatland Session on Vimeo
Had a flatland stint a few years back and still try the odd steamroller these days. This edit is insane, and James Smith knows how to put a song to an edit.George Dossantos and George Kastrinakis - Manmade BMX DVD on Vimeo
2004 Manmade DVD, split George D/George K section. KILLAH.Summers Gone But Not Forgotten on Vimeo
Newcastle. Good to see some of the older folk (nsf2 era) still riding, namely Marc Bell, Mousey and Olly Olsen (forever my favourite nsf3 day in day out section)Sean Hoskins (In The Life) - YouTube
Sean Hoskins section in In The Life. Classic Fugazi* and a cliffhanger to rail line. *Song was also used in the trails section in Props 2002 european summer tour to my memory. And I'll leave on Joe Cox's Vimeo channel, as he's upped most parts from both Voices and TWW. Always worth a watch. It's a nightmare Google Video went down as I've not been able to find a full length version of Voices since, arguably the best BMX video to come out of UK ever.

bmxed: Yeah that's Greycourt school round Ham way. Free as a bird on the weekend, never been busted. There's a couple curved wallrides there too but I'm terrified of them.
Thanks man. It's weird how despite having taken many long breaks from bmx since they were all filmed, even today my style (or severe lack of) has not changed one bit. Guess I'll never change ahah
Went down (new) kingston today and hurt myself a lot learning crankish slides. Now I need to find a nice flat rail to mess around on
Down
This started off as more of a front pedal feeble till I got the bottle to drop the front wheel over to make it more cooler. worst ever was front right peg catching at the bottom and sending me over the bars.
tl;dr crank slides are funUp
(100000000000000 attempts this took, kept on dropping the nose too early as I lost speed and came very close to head butting the handrail to the right [my left])
Apologies for butchered instagram pic, there is gopro footage of this (and me falling off too many times) which I will try and get a hold of -

Only edit I've ever been in and it's 4 years old LEAN STREET PUTTING IN WORK on Vimeo
. I'm the fat one with the two red tyres (48 homer to supra e rear with 36t tree guard sprocket! Ya dun noe)Still ride with this same folk, except we're now MUGLIFE rather than lean bmx, but who knows. Maybe one day we'll make mug life t shirts like we did lean ones. All Kingston area.
Edit, just found this edit I didn't even know existed. All filmed at kingston skatepark (RIP) Sam Baker and Mark Carroll Lost footage of old K-Town park on Vimeo
Aaaalso found this, self filmed edit from a couple years ago Untitled on Vimeo
Having just watched all of this, it would seem that as my hair has fallen out and my weight has increased, I have gotten sufficiently worse at bmx ahaha

Wouldn't say I'm getting consistent with it, but it's definitely fun to give it a go. Especially switch footed spins.
The 180 challenge is always fun. Regular 180, then opposite 180. Then switch foot regular 180, and then the hardest is the switch foot opposite 180.
Indian givers count, obviously.I still think one of my favourite things is just riding a flat bank and doing bar spins. Regular bank bar, opposite bank bar (spin and throw oppy), then top side bank bar (opposite spin, regular throw) and then if you're feeling flash an opposite topside (regular spin, opposite) throw. And of course the bars fakie. Bar spins make my world go round.

for realz. I went through a stint of running left pegs only (despite being left foot foward, I grind goofy) to beef up my oppo grinds and since all I do is grind it worked a treat.
Now rather annoyingly the only trick I cant do both ways is pegs to over, which I can only do "opposite", on the left. Ballache but oh well it's still funSwitch foot grinds are my new favourite, that shit is way fun

This is my new monstrosity which involved combining one 19" Voodoo Wanga MTB Frame, and a 19" Voodoo Marasa hybrid.
The result is 1x9 SLX/Deore set up. 11-26 casette and 32 ring up front, tektro hydros, 700x32C rando tyres and a lot of ugly nippy fun.
only real plan is to better secure the rear brake hose as she rattles like a bitch and switch it to flat pedals for pub mode.
How she sits right now. Finally got the double guard for my MDS (not in pic), sprocket stalls are my jam.
