OK,
So I have come back from a big drink (relax children, it's past dinner time in my timezone) and have decided to take to the dog bike with paint stripper.
Couple of hours of rubbing and ta-daa.....still needs clear coat. Sun has long since set so - not the best pic (not the best bike either.)
Cheers

@ Jambon: The rims are some cheepies off ebay over here in Oz . . brand is "Stars Circle" and they cost around AU$80 for the set. See ebay item # 400105759682. They come in anodized blue and white too. You just have to peel off the silly stickers.
@ Re-Cycled: Yes, absolutely agree. I've got the hub on freewheel for now untill me and the dog get better acquanted with the setup and then I'll flip it to fixed down the track.
Cheers, and thanks for the compliments.

That was your first build? Great job, very clean and tidy.
Thanks - yes, first build. With all the info here and on the interwebz, it really makes things easy. This one was rattlecans (I wanted a satin finish anyhow...) I will shoot the next one with proper spray equipment and auto-acrylic. I've got a real hankering for this color (maybe a little lighter), with polished alloy deep v's and lots of shiny metal bits........can't wait to get started.

Gangsta, that before pic is amazing. That is, for me, what a conversion should be about. So often on here people post lovely road bikes that have been ruined to make a half-arsed fixed wheel, but that was a frame rescued from the bin and turned into something really rideable and stylish. Nice job.
Thanks Sparky. Trouble is - building up this 1st one was so much fun I have to do it again. Got my eye on a nice old Raleigh frame and forks. . . going to build the next one up over time while riding the bejeesus out of this one in the meantime.

Thanks n3lson!
@ Gangsta Crumpets
Other than the Coaster Bake, what's the wheel/hub/tyre combo? Like it a lot.
Cheers, the wheels are basic 27" Weinmann's with SS spokes - front hub is a "Quando". AU$120 for the set inc the coaster. Tyres are Specialized Tri-Sport. The original wheels where too rusty. And I forgot the B4 pic so here it was (yes, I found it in the bin):

Chinese crap "Stars Circle". Cost me AUD$80 which is about as much as a pack of crisps in UK terms. Check out ebay item 390180267510, same thing - just rip off the stickers.
Cheers
