sorry but this is all a bit weird. one minute 'I never go on drops, they are useless to me and is bad for riding in a heavy traffic.'
next minute 'I used drop-bars by habit'
wtf? i'm calling it...don't mean to offend, but I smell BS. i can't believe the same brain gave birth to those 3 bikes.
would love to be proved wrong though so post a pic of those three fellas together will ya?
D-Goods,
In the past, I used drop-bars and stayed with hands on top of it, in other words using them as a flat bar. Now I changed that, I have risers or a "chop & flop" drop bar with "triathlon" brake levers.
Look at this link you will see some of my bikes:

The KHS is being repainted, and will be assembled in a different way - shorter stem etc and it will use a Surly Dingle cog.

I thought the other bikes were nice. With the one underlining factor being the handlebar height. High handlebars never look great, but not everyone is uber flexible, so its not a fail in my mind. I just cant fathom why someone who cant even bend themselves onto a standard drop-bar set-up, would look at a low-pro frame and think 'thats what I need'.
Not feeling the brake lever positioning, but I like it.
Thanks. I miscalculated badly on the Lo Pro. In the past, I used drop-bars by habit. A few years ago, I gave up and went for high handlebars - a trade off between confort/pleasance and aesthetics.

It's a bit wierd some bits are new:
Risers, frame logo, black cxp22,other bits are 'vintage':
lugs and colour of frame, all the chrome, old campag cranks, chainring, stem, brooks, gumwall tyres etcYou'd be better off putting drops on it, esp considering there is not much seatpost showing and it has two brakes. However, then you've still got the problem of the typeface of the logo (head explodes)...
I never go on drops, they are useless to me and is bad for riding in a heavy traffic.
Riser is 13 years old, it has been annodized titanium in order to match the stem color (Grammo titanium).
The typeface of the logo is the original one, except that the "A" is solid in my bike. I bought it as bareframe without paint from Alien Bikes an year ago.

+1
No need to criticise someone for their language skills. There's plenty of other stuff to criticise.
Louis, are you saying that the Alien is like your lopro? If so, please enlighten us. I can't really see it.
Nope. I just rode both sequentially in order to get a better feeling about the handling /steering of each one. You know the conclusion.

I'm pretty sure I see a lock ring on there, I imagine Louis will correct me if I'm wrong. It might not have qualified for this thread on its own merit, but in contradistinction to his Telfer, and also to all the anti porn bikes with the ur-hipster combination of risers and Brooks, it's a shining example of simple elegance.
It is a fixie, but in order to be safe in any event she has brakes. the details of the set up is below:
The frame is an Alien (with a Time carbon fork 1”) which was added a set of cable stops, a set of water bottle braze-ons, a small tube at seatstay bridge for a brake and the rear triangle was chromed. Besides that, I substituted the original fork due its short steerer tube that only allows a Tange Passage headset or an old Shimano 105 with 33mm stack height .
The crankset is an old Campy Pista (drive side) 165mm and 144BCD, and the left side was a Campy Strada (drive side) that I converted to non-drive side and a machine shop rethreaded it in order to accept a left pedal.
The other parts are as follow: – Headset: Campy Record; / Stem: Cinelli Grammo (titanium); / Handlebar: Azonic Double Wall Riser (54 cm);/ Grips: Outland;/ Brake Levers: Suntour XC Pro (champagne color);/ Seatpost: Record Aero; / Saddle: Brooks Professional; / Bottom Bracket:: Sampson Titanium 103mm; / Chainring: Sugino Mighty Competition 44T – 3/32”,/ Chain: KMC Z610 HX;/ Pedals: Chorus Aero with Brooks straps; / Rims: Mavic CXP22 ;/ Hubs – Front: Record Pista – Rear: IRO flip-flop (low flange) with an IRO cog – 17T and a Wheel Mfg lockring; and on the other side an Eno freewheel with 17T; /Brakes: Campy Chorus and Slime tires 700x25.

@Louisc1:
could you put the picture of the bike back up? Since it produced such a big discussion it deserves to stay up. It should be in the gallery for future generations to see it and learn.Which one do you want?

It will break in half eventually. It happened already. Try to listen to guys - they may be crude, but some on here have quite an experience with bike racing, maintenance, professional bike and frame building...
Bring this Frankenbike to drinks and have a chat. Thanks for the advice. I rode both , the Telfer and a real track bike from Alien bikes, tonight. It is not worth the trouble with the Telfer, maybe someday I will buy a La Piovra frame ( I liked those curved tubes), till there I will ride my KHS Aero Turbo - converted to fixie, which has the curved seat tube.

I think that Soma Fabrications and Rivandell sell similars in USA.
