I had a chat with a fellow cyclist and he said that he knew about those signs since he knows how to drive. I guess cyclists could do better if they go through some sort of a road theory test system to better equip their knowledge of the roads?
Do cycle training teach these things? I took a lesson a couple years back but we never got to talking about signage :O

Yep, they're still there when I pass by, at the top of this topic, there's a picture of the sign outside csm - the symbol mean no bike allowed, rather than the opposite.
Yes I just realised that! Oops. When were these signs imposed? I just always thought they meant 'bike here please!'Which I now realise that I've spotted a couple more signs like this so I better start watching out!
Don't think there is a list of restricted bus lanes around, at least not tO my Knowledge anyway.
The cop mentioned that maybe if enough boris bikes go down the bus lane TFL might look into it! Does he mean to say that I'm not as important as a boris bike user? Sadness!

Just got stopped by the police outside central st Martins and given a slip for cycling on the bus lane. I just never noticed and realised that road was not meant for cyclists! In all fairness I had a nice chat with them and they told me it was tfl's orders and that I could raise the issue up with the local council or TFL but apparently this has nothing to do with the police as they had orders given to them!
But he told me they will start fining people soon so be careful everybody! 30 quid is quite a lof of money to spend on cycling in one of the few buslanes restricted to cyclists.

Shouldn't the progression of the tweed-infused afternoon naturally lead to a night of swing and charleston at the Saturday Night Swing?

ahh my landlord gave me an old bike i can fix up and its a nice SMALL (yes, SMALL ENOUGH) ladies bike so I am able to build up some sort of a polo bike soon! super duper happy, since i now realise that commuter bike CANNOT be a polo bike at the same time.
what do you mean by exposed chainrings? that means i need to cover them with those plastic bits? sorry i'm not too good with bike parts' names etc.

thats a nice piece of work you got there Sparky!
I used to do screen-printing quite a lot. Making prints are wonderful because a limited edition is original in many ways- each print is hand-pulled thus unique, but at the same time you can sell each print for cheaper since there is more than one. Thus people who appreciate good art but obviously can't afford a picasso can buy something they like for affordable prices.

IMHO, There are many factors in determining whether a budget is appropriate for a job: in this case the complexity, time frame, Inclusion of materials/print costs, hand labour (simple hardback or special binding/format. To be fair I always hear a client out before giving a good quote that I think I deserve in return for my skills and hard work! I understand what cedywedy is saying on the basis that there are people out there who want to pay very little for good work and try to get away with it, sadly they do as sometimes people are desperate for work. this does lower the Market rate and leave lots of freelancers frustrated! But I believe in getting what you pay for, if a client is appreciative of what I can do, I'm willing to work out an appropriate budget.
For design work depending on lvl of skill I would say ranging btw £10 to £20 an hour?
