To make it fair, whoevers interested still gets first dibs after the chimes ring for 9pm.Get o0 in there........bearing in mind, anyone who wants it delivered(to London) will have to wait a few weeks as Im still in Cornwall (unless anyone wants a weekend by the sea---couriers or known associates only----NO WEIRDOS) ;-)

**The Draft is way better than the Lager... (blake)
***Cant believe Evans are selling the normal version for 300 now. Thats mad, depreciation. Guess its cos theres so many new bikes coming out. Thanks for adding the picture Jazzy. This is the bike, but the race version. With drop down handlebars....
Now a few people have messaged me ive told everyone that from 9pm tonight (for those out at work) whoever messages me first has dibs. Please dont dibs if u dont want it......Plus Im still on my Cornwall break so please let me know where u live, as I'll have to pay for petrol or train ticket to get to u, unless you live in Newquay!!
Cheers guys.See you all soon X

If u aint interested in it, please dont bother posting-----(BEN). Im trying to sell the damn thing, not create a 'chat thread'. I know these bikes have recently dropped alot in price. But as i said....if u tried to buy a flip flop wheel alone youd be looking at at least 1-150, plus its brand new. Thats what it was bought for and i even have a receipt somewhere to prove it.
Being a London courier myself, I know how hard it is to get a decent, honest bike nowadays, without having to buy new. My mates only given me the damn thing as my Langsters fucked and need the money to buy a motorbike to courier on.
So if anyone is interested private message me. -
SE Draft Lite, in blue and brown, 56 cm frame. Brand spanking new, only been ridden twice, once from the shop and the other time was to KFC and back.
Basically as some of u know, I was a pushbike courier for 5 years and went to motorbike 2 years ago. I sold my motor thinking after my lovely Cornwall break Ill come back as a pusshie. What did i know. The 2 yearsof motoring has taken away all my cycling fitness.
So am gonna buy another motor.....Id rather be a fast motorbiker than a slow pushie that the controllers hate for being slow!!So, honestly it was 419.99 new, still looks it. Ive only had it sitting in my bedroom, so its still in pristine condition. A great bike to courier on. Its on 48/16 with a flip/flop back wheel (a flip/flop alone is worth over a 100quid).
The only bike I have to compare it to is the Specialized Langster(my love) which I rode thru 5 winters day in day out. It rides a little bit slower, only a fraction really, but i know if u changed the parts it comes with---headset etc, u can take loads of weight away, so in turn would probably match.A bike that turns heads, a weird colour combo, I thought when I first saw it, but everyone Ive showed it to loves it.
Im still on my break in Cornwall but I come back to my Islington flat regularly. So if anyone wants it...who lives anywhere between Cornwall and London, I will deliver via car.......all offers to my inbox here or chayser@live.co.uk or 07580535709. Cheers CJ (former Cycloner)

Hi Guys,
Im coming back on circuit after my long break.
As most of u know, I had me goodbye drinks at the Foundry and left the day after for a long break in Cornwall. Now its 6 months on and Im getting back on the road, Im missing having my radio like crazy(strange feeling being away for so long)When I got hit by the truck I never bothered to get my bike fixed and I got rid of most my bike stuff as I never thought Id ride on circuit again.
Anyways, my rear wheel was f***ed in the accident, so need a new one.
As I havent been working I cant really afford to buy one from a shop.So if anyone has an old singlespeed rear wheel anywhere and/or an old courier bag(even a royal mail one would do for the minute), please do not hesitate to contact me. Would very much appreciate any assistance, have some ££ to get but not alot, and a promise of free beer wen Im back!!!!
Cheers guys, Love CJ (Andrea) X

I dont think u'll be able to get wot ur looking for, for that price. Single speeds part are becoming more expensive as suddenly everyone in England wants to look like a courier on a s/s bike.
Plus couriering is going downhill at the minute so everyone on circuit that normally have spare stuff dont and are strapped for cash.A single speed wheel alone from a shop, is like £80 at the cheapest. If u look on here theres people selling back wheels for £50 and thats with no tube or no tyre.
You could get a rear wheel, then get the hub and sprocket to fit, but thats gonna be more than 50 aswell. At the cheapest ur looking at £150 for a bike unless ur really lucky. Maybe try another post, not putting £50, or any price at all, u might get more interest that way.

I just see what edmundro said.....is true but as he said 120-lasted 8 months, a good new bike for 4-500 should last 5years plus and thats riding everyday!!
Id rather get a new bike and have it with me for a long time, modding it along the way, than have to build myself a bike from scratch evry few months.
But hey thats me, some people like building stuff from old stuff. I however like having trusty new basics with less expensive parts....riding ss can be an expensive business either way...u go thru a lot more tyres cos of all the skidding for stopping, aswell as sneak tricks, like trackstanding and if ur riding all seasons, riding armadillo tyres thats 20 a tyre.
Theres so many people on here Im sure u'll get all the info u need. X -
@@@@MinhDinh.....if ur looking to go single speed, these guys are right, u can get a secondhand bike for cheap or convert ur own, but there are alot of fake sellers out there.......people that re-paint really old bikes and use budget parts, to sell to ppl that want ss/free or fixed, that dont know what they're looking at.
If u dont know any couriers or bike mechanics I suggest u wait a while, till u build ur knowledge, or get a new one.
I didnt get a single speed till I could afford to get a new one, I had to courier day in day out, for 6months on a heavy, mountain bike, so getting a new bike was brilliant.
At least then, u get a warranty and feel more safe that ur bike isnt gonna fall apart or somethings gonna need repair.......after years off use road bike frames crack at the botttom.
I would suggest a fairly priced bike, the specialized langster, is £450-£500, its really light-the way it comes,
plus if u get a new one they measure u up for the right size bike, they adjust everything to ur specification before u leave and u get a free full service after 2months, by this time normally a few things need tweaking.
I didnt need anything major doing to my bike for more than a year. After riding 10 hours a day, the crankset and hubs needed looking at.
Is up to u mate, but converting a heavy mountain bike is pointless, cos most the guys u see riding single speed, are couriers with superlight bikes, made from aluminium or carbon----steel bikes are too heavy and if its speed u want the best way is to get a new one.
I went to Evans, but there are many bike shops of all shapes and size and reputations that sell single speed now, but most of the 'branded'bikes dont change much in price from place to place.Good to see u guys are having fun, u'll find most on here dont go on mountain bike rides, as fixed ss riders ride alot faster than ur average mountain bike.
Good luck finding ur next bike, if u decide to convert and need any help, message me. -
have sent u a message scott, but saw this thread so have added me name anyways.

If u only want a bag to carry a laptop, theres a load of computer shops that do bags now, that dont look like ur typical laptop bag, more like a sporty rucksack.
I know us couriers look good with our custom made Scott bags, n PAC's, bagaboo's, n Chromes, but most have these bags because we have to carry shit loads of heavy boxes, every day for miles.
After slogging in the rain everyday, u learn that only the best is good enough, so why not have it!!!
If ur not a courier and not likely to be carrying heavy loads often, just go to any good cycle shop and by a normal cycle bag, no specialist bag required!!! -
Straps get you used to the feeling of having ur foot in one place on the pedal. This is the first thing of clipless riding.
I only got clipless when i bought myself a new bike and I knew Id be on it for more than a few hourrs a day. I rode the new bike for about a month with straps. A friend then gave me some Time pedals and fitted them for me, so all I had to worry about was the shoes.
Not all pedals fit all shoes, so you should pick what you want first and make sure the pedals and shoes you pick will go together.
The best I could get for the budget I had was £15 Time ATAC cleats with Specialized Sport Road Shoes £50-£60. Im not sure what the pedals cost, but a decent set will cost £60-£100, although u can get pedals for £40.
With pedals, with most brands, the more you pay, the more wear, tear n time u get out of them.
This isnt neccesarily so with shoes. My specialized shoes lasted 3 years before they started splitting(as all shoes do), I was a courier, so riding about 8 hours a day and walking around in them for up to 3 hours a day, everyday.
A friend of mine had SIDI shoes and spent £200, after a year of riding roughly the same as I, he had to a new pair cos the shoe was coming away from the sole and splitting aswell.
All good road shoes last a couple of years, but once they start showing bad wear, they go downhill rather quickly.
I dont like the 'shoe' or 'trainer' cycling shoe, if u want shoes or trainers with u wen cycling, either dont go clipless or carry another pair of shoes with you.
This is because road shoes are made to ride, the trainers looking cycle shoe is more for people who dont ride that much, who want to be able to walk around a lot more.
As I said I had proper cycling shoes and they were very comfortable to walk in.
Some of the stiff shoes, with massive cleats aren't comfy to walk in, so have a good walk around in the shop, bearing in mind the cleats wont be fitted till u buy a pair.
The only thing I would then advise, as was advised to me wen I first started.....
When u first ride out in ur new shoes/pedals. Go off-road and have a friend with u. Riding freewheel preferably, click in your right foot(or ur main pushing foot) and keep it in.
Hold yourself up against a wall and with a friend holding u so u dont fall, get used to clipping ur left foot in and out.
Then clip out your left, start to ride, build up a safe slow constant speed and practise clipping in and out.
Most people fall over the first couple of times, cos your brain has to get used to changing from just putting ur foot down to unclipping and putting down. Just like wen we were kids and had our stabilizers off!!
I would say getting shoes, apart from getting a new bike, was the best thing ive done in my cycle life yet. Its hard to explain, you will understand wen u get some!! Good luck.P.S. You dont have to go to a specialist cycle store, decent and fairly priced evans or cycle surgery kind of shops stock a good variety of shoes and cleats, or get a bike magazine and shop from there, online.
Hi guys,
A while ago I had a crash while working and decided not to ride for a while.
Im now looking to get back to me radio n me mates and am in desperate need of a back wheel(rest of the bike am told is fine)...
Does anyone have a spare i could buy or anyone tell me ther cheapest place i could go just to get me started again.
Thanks.
(my bike is a Specialized Langster--single cog--)
