I have a Raleigh Classic Lady. Mixte frame in Reynolds 531c, it is light but perfectly capable of taking a load, be that child or shopping. (I probably have a hamax seat for child too.)
This is a vintage bike but in really good order. Very classy in burgundy and chrome. Best of all it is built for the taller lady. A 23" frame, in old money. I am 6'2" and have ridden it 5'11" is probably perfect. Few new bikes, with compact frame designs, are nearly as comfortable for tall women unless you go for a Dutch Town bike, which way a ton.
I should have said that it has swept back flat bars, great in town or with a passenger; Upgraded triple chainset and Simplex retrofriction shifters for trouble free operation; 27x 1 1/4 tyres with mudguards, for comfort. (It would probably fit 700 x 38 tyres with mudguards but I doubt the current brakes would reach.)
Price would be £200 +postage (I am in Devon. We have family in Brighton so might manage to deliver depending on timing. )
Send me a PM with email address I'd you want me to take some photos for you.
Cheers, Geoffrey -

I have a few.
1970's Carlton, 80's Dawes both in 531 (Road, not touring, but with mudguard eyes and good clearance) £50 each.
Something nicer, in 753, believed to be a Condor (No mudguard eyes and nothing bigger than 28c).
All are built for giants. (62/63cm) My favourite size.
PM me with an email address and I can send pictures -

I have a Condor frame (or complete bike) built in Reynolds 753. Approx. 64cm frame with a dropped top tube to give a stiffer frame while keeping the bars at a sensible height. No clearance, or bosses, for mudguards or fat tyres but a great ride and classic good looks. PM me with an email address for pics and price. Geoffrey
