I think with enough public pressure what the inrng article flags up can be overcome.
At least one bloke has the guts to speak out;
http://www.cyclingnews.com/news/david-millar-calls-on-verbruggen-to-step-down-from-uci
Although I don't see how Mcquaid can escape, I simply believe he's Verbruggen's right hand man. Although any moves to remove them cannot state what can't be proven (that they're corrupt, arrogant fucks who've helped to come close to ruining pro cycling) surely the trail of destruction which at the least highlights their incompetence is enough to bring them down.
I'm going to go find a petition.

Wow, bringing a thread back from the dead.
I have a big ol' archies messenger bag and I'm just having vague thoughts about selling it, would any body be interested?
(I thought starting a classifed up for something that I'm not sure I'll even sell might be a bit much so testing the water - which also means I can wish Scott all the best a year or so into his mystery new bag company. I hope it's all going well. This bag has served me well, as has my saddle bag)

It's their first app so hopefully it does okay.

thank you so much for this advice, really kind of you, exactly what i needed.
(in answer to the questions, ill probably keep it seven speed with downtube shifters, Im not really sure what era campag I was looking to run, maybe now Ive decided to keep it seven speed the last of the seven speed derailleurs? and as for buying a pinarello, I love my bike too much for that, and my pockets are not deep at all)
-
If all these questions have been asked apologies please put me in the direction of where I should look.
Basically Ive been meaning to put my bike back to Campag record for ages and gonna do it now but buying everything separate off ebay means Im not quite sure what goes together.
(these questions will be slight basic Im expecting apologies)
1) The first question is how can I tell what campag rear derailleur is 6 / 7 / 8 / 9 speed? There are a lot of nuovo records, c records, super records about but I've no idea what speed any are.
2) Are different down tube shifters needed for different speeds?
3) Does the front derailleur have anything to do with rear derailleur speeds? Can I just buy any front mech if I have two front speeds?
4) If I have a vento wheel with 10 speed can I switch it to 9 speed without changing the freewheel?
5) If I switch the the front and rear derailleur from shimano to campag I know I need to change the rear cassette but would I need to change my two front chainrings also?
6) If I did need to change my chainrings how do I know the amount of teeth I need on the new ones? What does that need to be in accordance with? Do I need to worry about the bottom bracket?
7) And if I wanted to put record cranks on it how do I determine the size and again do I need to worry about the bottom bracket.
8) Finally I want to get a respray where would you guys go?
(the bike is a 70s/80s gios by the way)
If anyone is able to help it would be much appreciated, so in advance thank you very much.

I'm afraid it doesn't look like a Gios to me - the cut outs on the BB and the drop outs don't look right - a real one looks like this (it ain't for sale). The frame details suggest a 70s/early 80s frames and yet the decals and forks are 1990s. Headbadge is riveted and not a sticker too.
http://imgur.com/Or5WX.jpgThe Gios in the Rapha cafe (which was def not a fake) had a sticker as a headbadge even though mine is riveted, so I think stickers are possible.
But I still think your right that this is a fake, the cut outs on the BB dont look right at all.
