no lights does not automatically mean you will die.......that's just ridiculous.....I appreciate that you may feel that lights make you safer..........but lets not blow it out of proportion.
As a keen cyclist and car driver I know lights make me safer. And whilst one could be pedantic and note that not everyone dies if they are not using lights, it is distinctly apparent that anything which can make the road a slightly safer place to be, has to be a good thing, wouldn't you agree?

I've enjoyed reading your input into this important topic and I take comfort in the fact that your (intentionally?) ridiculous statements would make even the most lackadaisical person into a more careful, bike-light-using individual...just to be less like you.
I think other people have already covered the important details - anyone without bike lights is not only endangering themselves but also risking the psychological well-being of the poor sod that has the misfortune of killing them.
