Change of plans mean these wheels are ready for a new home- bought from a friend for a Bob Jackson track bike fixed wheel project which has now gone down a different route
They are 27 and 1/8th diameter with glue on 6oz tubs which need replacing, 24 chrome plated spokes. They will need a polish up as chrome has gone off a bit but am sure they will look OK after a bit of elbow grease. Wheels have been stored in the dark for 30 years and come with tyre covers,
They run true and I have weighed the front wheel with tire and it was 800grams total. The back wheel has a close ratio 5 speed block fitted from when it was used for time trialling, it is a double sided hub and can be fitted with a sprocket either side.
Not sure if these are still valued but if fixed gears are your thing these are ideal!
£60 ovno posted to mainland UK destinations, collection welcome from Cumbria -

Hi Hugo, No offence taken - I 'd noticed the layout leaves a bit to be desired :D, still have some active interest relating to this post so if nothing happens I'll have a go at re doing the ad, I d thoughtof doing that but figured it would be pulled by moderators.
Meantime I have located the edit button and removed some of the gobblydegook, can't find a way of rotating pics on here and photo bucket is really slow on this connection which is why I left the links tothe pics.

Well I'm having no luck on here - people express interest then either don't answer their phones or e mails, I'm beginning to develop a conspiracy theory!
Why respond if not reallyinterested? I'm baffledYes the postage is on top of the price, the guy drivingthe van needs to earn a living and we would need to get a carton home and box it all up which is a bit more hassle than somebody calling by and driving off with it, not really unreasonable is it?
We are quite happy to post it on but this must be at the buyer's expense - I quite appreciate that you wouldn't want to drive up from Cornwall to see a bike.Bike has £40 worth of new tyres on and the rest of it must have some value too.........
Anyway rant over :D, anyone looking for a seriously light weight bike for not a lot of money get in touch, please!!
