the red Ciocc ss conversion and it's maker on a black dolan , that's in Current Projects, just now on Wheatsheaf Lane. The ciocc deserves gears!
Apologies for not saying howdy, didn't realise what you said 'til we were down the road. It does deserve gears (and drop handlebars), but I figure I'm maintaining yet another bike, so it's staying simple (and she wanted a sit-up position).

Finally finished building this for the missus, and handed it to her as a complete surprise yesterday. Unfortunately I had to scrap my idea of drop bars after she announced she liked to sit up when riding, hence the tiny stem and risers. She hasn't ridden in a fair few years, and it's just for fun, so no clipping/strapping in (and she'll never* ride fixed). I also avoided a nice Athena groupset on it as I know who'll be maintaining it. It rides bloody brilliantly though (more fun than my bikes dammit)
*I'm going to work on it

I'm selling my Canon 450D as I haven't used it in the past 12 months at all. Since I bought it new, I've never bothered to use it, and can't be assed to learn how to use it. It comes with all the usual stuff like camera bag, nothing at all is missing (except the box), has not a single mark on it (not even a fingerprint, it is like brand spanking new) and comes with my original receipt. Also throwing in a SanDisk Extreme3 memory card and Hoya UV filter. Basically the perfect beginners package. If I can find them, I also have some cracking books on DSLR photography that I'll throw in. £300
Also for sale I have the top of the range Canon 580EX2 Speedlight. This is even newer, and only used a couple of times. I bought it (brand new, receipt included) to spark up my interest in the DSLR again, but it's sat there with almost no use whatsoever as well unfortunately. Again, this is like brand new with not a single mark on it. This also comes with everything except the cardboard box, plus a Sto-Fen Omnibounce and rechargeable batteries. £SOLD MARCOLA
I'm in south-west London and available during the daytime mostly. I'm not going to post.

RPM, you looked as if you were blown backwards coming of the back straight. Kat, hope Jon has sent you those pics and video of the big wheel (and some of the racing), or i'll go give him a quick kick. Got to see more racing yesterday than we thought we would though, but no training in the dry today?

I got the '10 Classic Track from Ben at Cycleworx (brilliant service!) a few weeks ago to coincide with Herne Hill opening, had him whack on my front brake and lever so i could get it home, changed the tyres and pedals straight away, and it's been great so far.
The chumpions at BLB wanted £500 for a '09 fuji track... which was £170 more than Evans (and £100 more than RRP!)... but for a tiny bit more than Evans I got a new one, fitted up professionally, by someone who actually gives a damn when i wave money around.

Pro 3 Race sold.
Those Kendas are a 700x25 and probably wouldn't be toooo bad on a commuter or runabout... BLB probably sell 'em to hipsters for fiddy quid a pop after giving them their trademark big f*ck-off-out-of-my-shop stare lol
Anyone wants them it'd be a shame to throw 'em out, so i'll give them away if someone is willing to pick 'em up.

I always felt safe riding to and around Melbourne (from Geelong... perfectly safe until you get past Torquay, THEN it gets just a bit dangerous), apart from the westgate bridge, where I'd get blown about and drivers attempted to drive through me constantly. Apparently they finally finished the freeway, so I wonder what it'd be like now...
Used to be rewarding 10 years back... ride hard to Melbourne from Geelong, almost get killed on the bridge, absolutely hammer down it and practically freewheel to St Kilda pier for some Rex Hunt fish'n'chips
I got the extra padding in my bagaboo workhorse messenger for pretty much those exact reasons (every week carry several of tons of booze up 3 flights of stairs solo (sans bag obviously), on top of the carrying a several kilos daily every which way), but it kept digging in my back, until i loosened the compression straps... oh happy days. I can carry it to capacity over one shoulder without any back/neck/shoulder pain. To be honest I've got the extra shoulder strap, but still haven't found the need to use it (even carrying a case and a half of cans).
