Just to throw another into the mix, I bought an 853 Quinn from Hillary stone a few years ago, tig welded, very nice colnago art deco paint job, he told me that it was made by paul Donohue for dave Quinn cycles-will pop a photo up , but of my 10 bikes, this is the one that does all the work, I love it.

i've got one - will post pic in a minute
Shimano R450 57 mm rear brake - pretty much mint condition save a bit of road grime. Missing the bolt for some reason - easily replaceable from clerkenwell screws i should think. Yours for a tenner.
Hi there, thanks for that, i have been offered another of these also minus screw and also 10 squid. Will have a little think, where are you based or is this a postie job? Ta Adam -

Evenin' all (that dates me doesnt it Gulp!) anyway...
Seat tube on my Scapin has snapped just above the bottom bracket, frame material is columbus zeta. Have spoken to a frame builder who is happy to do the job, cutting off the old one, grinding-i presume he means reaming-out the hole and braising in a new tube. Ringing round to try to get a quote from another builder he said, without looking at it, frame would be fatigued and to scrap it. I ride this thing or did 150 miles per week so it does get used quite hard. Anybody got any experience of this? Any advice greatly experienced as dont really want to waste my money if its best to scrap-that thought makes me gulp again......... Ta people. -

Riding to work this morning, felt a weird thud and found thet my seat tube of my lovely 80's Scapin had snapped near bottom bracket. I need to replace this frame urgently as this is used to commute 38 miles every day come rain or shine. Am looking for something similar to this ie old steel that i can just swap the other stuff onto whilst i have the frame repaired currently 7 speed, downtube shifters etc. size seat tube 56cm, tt 55. If somebody has frame with bb and headset already fitted so much the better. I am in herts.
Thanks
