They are great frames, it's the second one i've owned and they perform brilliantly IMHO. I have a set of bars i could throw in for any potential new owner. Only selling as it doesn't get enough use plus i want to try and help my son out with his big interest which is BMX.
If anyone wants any better pictures i'd be happy to oblige.

Headset and Campagnolo BB are included.
I'm based in Bristol, collection would be welcome or i can courier at cost.

I totally agree with you on patina - it's only in original paint once. In this case though i think a resto is the way to go, that new paint looks as if it's taken something away from the crispness of the lug work not to mention the loss of chrome.
Do you have any clues as to what the original colour was? It looks as if there's a few layers of primer on there?

For sale here is one of the earliest ALAN Super frames from 1974/75, frame number is 250607.
There are no cable guides, derailleur mounts etc. I have fitted a new Campagnolo BB and the frame comes with it's original Campagnolo Record headset (not pictured) which is in excellent condition but will need a service.
Seat tube 52cm CTC, Top tube 53cm CTC, Rear spacing 126mm
The frame is in excellent condition, there are a few marks commensurate with age but nothing untoward, no dings or dents etc it's a beautiful, lightweight frameset. Decals are the original design but reproduction.
Here is the reply from Alberto Falconi ref the frame number:
Hi Thomas,
the frame you have got seems one of the first Alan Super from the 70's. We don't have any record for that serial number because is too old. Maybe it was made on 1974/1975. For that there's no cable guides. I think , in that period, the cables were fixed by some bands only.
The correct decals for that frame should be the black ones.
I remain at your disposal for more infor.

I am located in Bristol, local pick up welcome or i can post at additional cost.
Newbaums cloth bar tape in brown x2 rolls, brand new unused £SOLD

:)) same here, Benotto it is! Nah, i might get some Benotto tape for a fiver anyway and give it a trial, i've got the Newbaums on a different pair of bars, definately has a nice feel to it the cloth.
Think i'll finish building it up to see out the summer and finishing collecting the bits with a view to sprucing it up some more over winter. Good call and if the timing works for you Gaz on some of those bits then that would be great.

Still for sale, way too many time wasters...
Would consider trade against a BMX - Fit, Cult etc
