Interim Brief feedback from the meeting. Loads of great ideas flying around.
We need to all have a central message.
What is it?
‘’Reduce cyclists deaths by HGVs to zero’’:- We are campaigning to stop HGVs killing cyclists.
- We want to restrict HGVs in city centres.
- Cyclists cant share with lethal lorries that don’t 'see' them.
We agreed on a number of work groups:
· Direct Action Group – demos, protest, rides, stickers, public awareness, promoting cause
· *PR/ Design/Comms *- T-shirts, events, armbands, rides, stickers, website, forum, wiki...
· Media/Film – producing film
· Lobbying - pushing policy, MPs, govt
· Data/Enforcement/Legal – location of collision spots, data collected at collision - collate and present to show trends and use as communication tool. Legal hurdles/solutions - enforcing new restrictions/requirements.All the groups came up with a spoke/chair and will communicate the actions they
came up with.Still discussing the best way to open all this information to everyone.
Please have a look and see which work group you can join.
