hi LFGSS polo. i just got married and am turning 30 in july, and as a result my new wife and i have planned a trip to return to leeds for the grand depart and a bike tour in france. we are coming in and out of london and would love to hang out with old polo friends even without the right bikes, and if anyone could offer a place to stay july 1 (hoser holiday), 2, 3 and 27 it would be awesome!

i'm riding schwalbe durano 26x1.35 (35) now, which may be a bit slippy, but i'm surprised no one's mentioned the marathon plus as a good choice. 26x1.35 a bit heavy, a bit pricey, but great compound, super puncture proof, and last forever. i had a pair on my polo bike for 3.5 years and probably 10,000km and only replaced them because i wanted lighter. i'd only just reached the blue strip and probably could have run them another year

Can anyone think of anywhere within spitting distance of kings cross (or en route back to stoke Newington) where I can pick up some decent beans? Am running dangerously low and my usual vendors of Monmouth or nude espresso are a bit beyond a 40 ish minute lunch break dash. Is caravan on exmouth market any good?
there's square mile at tina we salute you or fazenda at cafe oto both nearish dalston/kingsland

where i live, vertical surface 'leaning' has always been ok, whether that vertical surface is a wall, chain link, or goal post. dabbing is supporting yourself on a horizontal surface, whether it's the floor, a link in the fence, or the crossbar. therefore, a flat palm on a fence is fine, but once you stick your fingers in it, you're using the horizontal part for support. same applies to crossbars, or in europe, the tops of goal posts

What are people's opinions on the Paul Motolite V brakes for polo use? Are they really as good as it gets when it comes to v brake technology? Or would i be better off buying some less pretty but just as efficient cheaper brakes?

I'm getting that bike I think, minus the forks.
annoyed by the 135mm rear spacing though. Means I need to build a new rear wheel. However correct me if I'm wrong but since I'll get a MTB hub surely I can put two sprockets so I can run a polo gear and a commuting gear? chainline issues?i have 2 rear sprockets and 2 chainrings so the chainline is matched on either and the rear axle doesn't move much. i think it's 39/18 and 36/21. you could probably do better, those were just the chainrings i had on hand.
