For sale:
Thule Yepp Mini with Ahead adapter and original adapter, black - £50 Dibs Roaring_Scott
Thule Yepp 2 Maxi tube mount (with two mounts so you can use it on two bikes), black - £75
Mini Spxtz has outgrown the Mini and we switched to a rack mount Yepp 2 Maxi because it suits my partner's bike better - these are great seats and still in really good condition. The ahead mounted Mini is especially fun with smaller kids, you can have a chat with them while riding and everyone you pass will smile at you (actually at the kid).
Currently in Glasgow but we'll be driving down to London for Xmas - if sales are arranged before the 19th I can bring the seats and arrange to meet (Croydon before Xmas, Kentish Town afterwards). Otherwise I can post at cost. Will do a forum donation too!

The ViaRhona is another great route in (mostly) France: https://en.viarhona.com/. Really nice vineyards along the route for the grownups too.

I've got a Sabbath Ti tourer (I'm sure it's posted somewhere upthread) which I don't ride nearly as much as my other bikes - and I'm realising it's because it's got canti brakes and they're a real pain to maintain, don't have great stopping power etc (compared to my disc mtb for instance).
Sooo I'm starting to look into getting a disc brake mount added - Vernon Barker cycles in Sheffield seems to be the only place that advertises such work but does anyone else have experience of getting this done/dealt with them before?
Edit: Just to add that it looks like Sabbath have sadly gone bust otherwise I'd have gone back to them in the first instance.

Does anyone know if the Yepp maxi rack mount seat fits on a Blackburn outpost rear rack? #nicherequests

Does anyone know why these meme reels accounts use random ChatGPT generated text about cars (they do it when the videos aren't about cars too)? My guess would be that it's because the algorithm privileges content that has long descriptions so it's easiest to give a seed to an LLM and have it generate text for the caption.

Tech support: There is someone living in America who's keeps signing up to stuff using a Gmail account with an extremely similar name to mine: mine is firstname.surname@gmail.com and his is firstnamesurname@gmail.com.
Gmail ignores . and + before the @ but says that you shouldn't receive other people's emails. I get his emails periodically - usually for services he's signed up to. I assume he couldn't have registered the email address he's using so it's possible that he's using my email address to fob off anyone asking for his email - but it also sometimes looks like it's services that he wants. Does anyone know what I can do about this? Presumably nothing.

I've got a Relaxle thru axle going spare. This is a very useful bit of kit if you want to mount a mudguard or rack and you don't have mounting points on the fork: it's got M5 threads inside the 6mm allen key broaches so you can install a rack that's supported by the axle.
This is unwanted because I accidentally ordered the wrong size for my Rockshox fork, but it's suitable for many other brands.
https://www.curvecycling.com/products/relaxle-thru-axles?variant=40730553516208
15x110mm, 143mm total length. 1.5 pitch thread.
It has been test fitted and so has some grease on the threads and installation marks on the hex head. There's a thread protector included for postage/storage.
I'd like £25 posted for this - it's quite close to the list price on the website but you won't have to pay for international shipping or duty.

I'm trying to fit a thru axle with rack mounts to my Rockshox fork. Unfortunately the cheap option, the Curve Relaxle, only comes in 143mm length while the Rockshox requires 148mm. The Old Man Mountain fit kit would work but costs ~£100 with import duties. So I wonder:
- does anyone know of a UK based option for such a part that might be a bit more affordable?
- does anyone know if a non-QR Maxle (eg https://www.amazon.co.uk/Rockshox-Maxle-Stealth-Front-System/dp/B00W1B87GU) hollow all the way through (ie could I fit a QR through it to bodge a mount)?

The splashing noise is usually because the water's falling through air for part of its journey, rather than flowing along a surface, and then impacting on the standing water in the trap at the bottom. The aim would be to make it flow down a surface. Could you rig up something like a rain chain but inside the downpipe?

After a debacle involving some cowboy fitters and a big extra outlay on our part, I'm selling some pretty much pristine rolls of Colour Flooring Company Citron Vinyl, in the following approximate sizes:
200cm x 90cm
100cm x 100cm
250cm x 170cmI'd like to shift this all as a lot, and we're asking for £120. There's approx 6sqm there and it retails at £32/sqm: https://www.colourflooring.co.uk/collections/vinyl-flooring/products/lemon-vinyl-flooring-1.
I'm based in Glasgow but postage can be arranged at cost. HMU if you want a pengy yellow floor.
I'm already a union officer and a charity trustee in my spare time, so no. Also I don't post very much!
But I've got experience of setting up a CIC (for an academic charity that publishes a journal, to avoid individual liability for the content we publish) so can definitely help with that.
