LFGSS and Microcosm shutting down 16th March 2025 (the day before the Online Safety Act is enforced)
I don't think anyone's disputing any of your points, least of all @Velocio
They're saying there's an extremely small chance of a catastrophically bad outcome with the regulations in their current form.
And that risk*result isn't something they're willing to entertain

As above.
Your Dad will need to figure out how to reclaim his Apple ID
Until then, they'll treat the laptop the same as if it were stolenDoes he have proof of purchase? Amazon for example have a record of the serial of the laptop when it's sold - partly so that if it pinched by a courier or something then they can report it stolen. But depending on the retailer then you might be able to show proof that it's his.

The Garmin tracks it, so I'm aware of it. I don't read loads into it most days. It takes a nosedive if I've had a drink in the day (I don't drink loads/often so unsurprisingly notice it when I do), and that does tend to correlate with crap sleep and feeling dopey the following day
My RHR tends to hover around 40, and HRV around 90. I do get an hour more sleep than you. But probably most significantly - no kids
Hard to compare vs other people though. Anecdotally plenty of people just as fit/healthy with higher or lower HRVs than me. Likewise different heart rates when exercising.

reply from my sister who had the work done in the last year. They were originally thinking of doing just the shell, but it ended up making more sense to get everything bar the decorating done while the trades were there
the estimates for the shell were around 60k though, but that included a new roof, so more like 50k. this for a 2 bed mid terrace in SE18

I'm all for crypto but understand the power of hype/hope... The game is rigged if you haven't already figured it out. Not convinced it's going much further so I'm waiting patiently with a bag full of tether to deploy once the heart beat stops. Bitcoin dies many deaths and like the Phoenix rises from the ashes when all hope/hype is lost. We need to see fear in the market place before real Og's get back in. Let the newbs experience what real loss feels like and come back next cycle. Lots of bro's never recover

This is their opportunity to get negotiating experience
@PhilDAS Get back to the EA with a revised offer
also this. the buyer may well know the house needs work and are hoping that they'll get someone that's willing to overlook it
If you think it needs 20k, you could always offer 30k less, expecting they'll refuse but at least anchoring the offer somewhat, then if it's still on the market in a couple of months come back having miraculously found 10k and you're willing to go up to just 20k under the asking which wont look like you're lowballing because it's up from where you weredon't be too British about it. worst case, you make an offer the sellers are offended by and they have a grumble behind closed doors about it
-
that's impressive. mostly that you've got the bloody-mindedness to put in a race pace marathon effort solo on a random weekend
I have a London spot and this is the sort of time I should really have an eye on. the long tempo runs are going to be a shock to the system after not racing longer than a half in a loooooong time
-
We either want it all fixed and sound for the price we offered for the house or we look for something else
there's no particularly good answer. They wont fix it up beforehand as it reduces what money they've got on hand if they're looking at moving elsewhere, and they have no guarantee you're buying the place even if they do fix it up. It's just risk for them
the money they've made on it over the last 10 years is irrelevant as place they're moving to has changed by at least that much as well. it's certainly irrelevant to you as a buyer
Figure out what number you think makes it fixed and sound and reduce your offer by it.
Then start looking elsewhere and if they choose to accept the new lower offer then great.Or be a nob and proceed then chip at the last minute. Not being judgy about that as the system here doesn't do anything to disincentivise it, and they could always be a nob too, accept a lower offer and keep looking for a better offer in the meantime

I guess I can’t use AI on the 15
you can on the 15 pro
battery replacement on the 11 from Apple is £85 if you're otherwise happy with it
https://support.apple.com/en-gb/iphone/repair/battery-replacement
I could probably put together a React version. SPA, client side rendering which interacts with the api directly
I’d started taking a look a few months ago, somewhat inspired by @cyclotron3k Android app
