lovely Mercian Vigorelli track frame from Hillary Stone - quoted as being 1961.
58 cm seat tube ctc
was originally black but took the paint off and lacquered about 10 years ago. now has a lovely 'patina' (though stored inside throughout).
very sound and would look great with new paint. or ride as is.

i did it last year in near-solitary conditions.
made last orders at Moreton and then nothing until the beach (which was empty and shut). ended up getting a bit of kip at a local B&B and then training it back from Darsham/Ipswich, which was surprisingly straightforward. weather permitting, you could always hang out at Dunwich until the trains started.
i also look forward to the Dynamo every year, so it was fun to do in this way (there were two of us) but it was definitely missing the 'vibe' of a full event (to say nothing of the midnight refreshments).
i suspect more people might feel up to a collectively organised option this year. maybe this is where it starts... :)

possibly not much consolation, but genuinely sorry to hear of your loss.

My beloved rotrax frame, constant companion for 6 years, just cracked! (down tube by the bottom bracket - may have been a track stand too far)

need a quick replacement while i figgure out a longer term option (weld, new purchase, etc).

Does the train from Ipswich to Liverpool St start at Norwich or elsewhere? Wondering if there's any point making a bike reservation from Ipswich if the train is going to be full up with bikes from Norwich by the time it gets there. Ipswich/Norwich look equidistant from Dunwich..

i rode on to Ipswich last year to catch the 11.15 train. met a few people on the roads, and one or two on the train. not that many people though. you shouldn't have trouble finding space for the bike at least on the earlier trains.
regretted having to stick to a schedule, though, and was fairly delirious by the time i got to Ipswich, so coaching it this year...

if you coat the cups with a healthy dollop grease, you should be able to get the balls to sit still long enough to fit them....provided you have enough....(balls that is)
