Very reluctantly for sale is my 1978 hommes bahn track bike.
The bike was custom made for a Dutch Professional track cyclist (named hommes) in '78 and was ridden for one season (In bahn) then put in to storage. Seller is an lfgss regular so might be able to obtain more history if your interested.
I acquired this bike about 3 years ago from here and have barely ridden any miles on it. The only modifications I have made are adding a clamp on brake and I've put some clincher wheels as the it had tubs before.
Spec--->
It's a slightly unusual shape. 61cm seat tube and a 56cm top tube. Sounds unusual bit actuslly really comfy in the drops and up top. I'm 6"2 and it fits me well. Rides like a 58 square I'd say.
-Made of reynolds 531
-Un-drilled for brakes but fitted with a clamp on front brake
-Original Sugino 75 cranks (very rare without the cutouts)
-High flange track hubs built on to low profile kinlin rims (the rear sprocket is splined and fitted with a 17t cog. Front sprocket is 51t)
-Kashimax saddle
-Campagnolo dropouts (a surefire sign the bike was made with love)
-Vittoria gum wall tyres
-Pedals and toe straps included.
-Campag headset
-Everything runs immaculately. Slight clicking from the chain line but that's me being pernicketty.It' is currently at my work in farringdon. Viewings welcome and collection preferred from here but it's possible to organise some kind of delivery in London or the surrounding areas. Please do message me.
Aiming for 400 for her. She's very pretty
