But carbon? wtf? IMNHO Evans are asking to be sued giving out crap advice like that.
But no one on this forum apart from Ufrasia knows exactly what was said to him. They may have said to him that it is not advisable, however, he can still ride the frame. Who on this earth will want to spend some much money just because of event which weren't even their fault. you?
All im saying is that no here fully understands the complexity of analysing a frame and im sure if they were presented with the same task they will probably make mistakes! like any human being. And remember his second reference was coming from Chamberlain Cycles who find it hard to wipe there own @$$es lol.
But surely, no offence Ufrasia, everyone knows as soon as you crash a full carbon bicycle you just strip it for you components because there are too many risks with ride; well dependant on the force expressed onto the bicycle. In other words was an accurate account giving to Evans about what happened?

Come on, I personally think that some people in this thread are over reacting. Kasper is actually a very good mechanic, as previously mentioned the british standard has a range n not a set specific number! Additionally, Chamberlain Cycles is a competitor of Evans so dont you think they say anything to slag them off and convince you to stay with them????
Come on, I've shopped at Chamberlain myself and I much prefer ANY Evans Cycles any day. P.S. Sorry to hear bout your frame dude. =(

He has now reported it to the Police found with several other important details, that should help them. The reason why we didnt get the police to come around as well at the time because from other peoples experience with the stolen bikes and the Police it would have taken them about a month to arrive by that time someone would have bought it. And secondly the picture in the add wasnt the exact bike so we were not sure if it was his. And telling the police that we weren't sure would have just prolonged things further.
Whilst writting this post I got a text from my friend and as predicted the polices response to telling them about this was that they would get someone to call him in the next couple days! By this time all information would be useless.
You should always write down the code located under the bottom bracket so if its eva stolen it'll be easy to trace.
