I've been down the "connoisseur" route - whiskey, wine, real beer, etc. I can now drink lightly for the taste and take pleasure in it for itself and the company.

But there's nothing like getting properly on it for 18 hours once or twice a year. There's enormous zen to be found when you get "edge of reason" shanted and maintain it without dropping off either side. Like surfing the nose or trading a bear run or nailing a manual on the edge of a drop.

My favourite livener is a macchiato in the morning. I've got to the point where I can get what I deem to be a great shot using a stove top and a grinder but I cannot think of a way to quickly, cheaply and efficiently get a spot of foamy milk.

For me, it's not about "charity" but "charities". I donate to stuff that needs funding but otherwise wouldn't get it. The most obvious example for me is the Jennifer Trust which wouldn't exist without significant amounts of donations. The genetic research they fund in Cologne and Berlin plus the great work they do in hooking up families with the same issues (children suffering from Spinal Muscular Atrophy) is vital to them and wouldn't happen without charitable funding.

There are tons of others. The point is you have to both understand what you are funding and have a reason to fund it. Money's not the only option - you can spend time or lend publicity too.

Those boobies look like they got the idea from a guy I've seen riding around with two round plastic bowls attatched to his handling bars. Early adopter innit. Looks like a fruit and nutcase.

I keep seeing that guy on the Lee High Road in the mornings going into Lewisham. He looks about 70 and carries a vast amount of luggage.

The problem with that Dean is the rear triangle. The seatpost returns to too steep an angle and the seat stays stand too tall. Negative angle on the top tube just accentuates all this and the whole thing looks like something broke and all the tubing moved.

Maybe it got shunted on the way to the show?
