The frame is a 21" Raleigh Sillouette from the mid- to late-80s.
It originally had a five speed derailleur; about two years ago I had new 700C wheels hand built by these guys and a new Sturmey Archer XRF5 hub fitted. I also got the bars flipped and wrapped, and new brake levers fitted. The frame, brakes, cranks, crankset are original and in good shape, the saddle is ridable but really needs replacing and the bar tape is damaged in one place.
Used lightly - was my gf's reserve bike.

The most important thing to remember when dealing with cabbies is to remember that the PCO will listen to you if you report a cab driver and quote the number on the back of their car. If you get into an argument with a driver, it's worth pointing that out.
After a cab driver pulled out on me, then pulled over and threatened violence after I shouted at him, I notified the PCO and they put a formal note put on his record. Think there was corroborating evidence from a traffic camera that filmed him getting out of the car, although not the original incident.

Great - we need more of this stuff. More manufacturers need to wake up to the big market for stylish, practical but cheaper-than-rapha clobber!

Missed some of the heavier downpours today, but was drenched thanks to a 4X4 driver and the patch of Cable street that floods 6 inches deep...it's like it was designed to throw a tidal wave over the bike path.
