hey, i was just wondering if anyone knew anything about the Guerciotti starship frame or any of the others on Planet X. Quality and shizzle. They're going for super cheap on the Planet X website (85% discount) so i'm really tempted to get one, but there really isnt too much info on the frame online. Has anyone ridden this particular model before or others?

my friends and I are planning on cycling from London to Monaco - going through the Alps (1000 miles) next Summer and well i was hoping to do it on my fixed bike / freewheel. Just wondering if this was an okay idea and if anyone else has done such a large distance (with a lot of uphill) on single speed before. Im contemplating whether or not i should sell my fixed and get a road bike instead :/

Any advice is welcomed :)
