I cant believe I actually went to polo. Finally, a small amount of motivation.
Don't really wanna get the camera out around Calthorpe Park though, it's bare ghetto, mans dem was lookin rah shady.
my mate who lives round the corner was gonna bring her camera out tonight after i told her about the polo, she'll be disappointed to know she lives in a ghetto ;)i won't be coming tonight, not feeling too good today, was enough of a struggle getting to work this morning.
thanks all for your hospitality on sunday, will come to the next session. my bruises are fading nicely :D

I do wish the author of the thread would just come out and specify cases, maybe I could understand the reasoning behind this. My own view is women are respected as much as men (and who can tell who is what behind the Avatars of some), and some women are as good as the blokes at giving out.
i've not been here that long but i have noticed a tendency towards juvenility in threads. a fair few of those are nominally sexist but I don't think it's meant seriously, at least that's my impression.however, aside from that fact a lot of it just isn't funny - i appreciate humour as much as the next person, but this isn't - i think it adds to the general impression of this community as housing a bunch of 14 year old boys. and no offence, but if this forum has suffered from a bunch of women leaving, colour me unsurprised.
i have no doubt the we can defend ourselves from sexism, but being serious for a moment, it gets bloody hard and dispiriting when you're in a minority and it's the same few women feeling obliged to post over and over again pointing it out. or you leave it, as i have been tempted to do on other forums and no one else steps in. it gives newbies the impression that it's ok and maybe they don't realise it's meant in jest because you guys all have the advantage of knowing each other, personally in some cases, you know how each other's humour works and what's acceptable and what's not on a personal level.
i can skip over silly remarks about women's attributes, sexist jokes which aren't meant seriously and all that but there is a lot of it and it is noticeable.
and fwiw, the word cunt is fine, imo.

I hate referring to someone as a 'legend' - I honestly hate the term, but if anyone deserves that accolade...

i know, what a dude. inspirational really. if he can do it, anyone can. no offence intended mr izzard.i used to run a lot years ago and then got fat and lazy, started to get back into it slowly over the last couple of weeks. hard not to wonder where i'd be now if i'd just kept up with it. still, autumn and winter is the best weather for running so i'm looking forward to it.
did some stewarding at trailtrekker this year, the guys who finished first outclassed everyone else by so much it was almost funny. 66 miles across the yorkshire dales and they ran the whole fucking thing. finished 5 hours in front of the next team.
