Tango, I weigh a lean/toned/muscular/tanned 80ish kilos... I use 32's and they are fine.
Good job I'm in Bristol then, as there wouldn't be enough room for the two of us in London. With the 36's I wouldn't have to get the nipple
clampswrench out as much, but it does seem overkill...Also, sorry for the repost.

I'm finally back on track to build my fixed gear (having got sidetracked by buying a carbon road bike last summer) The problem is as stated in the title, which option would be best for the rear wheel? I'm going to run a zenith hub on a mavic open pro, and as there is no price difference between 32/36 would it be better to opt for the more bombproof 36?

Been talking to the seller and not entirely sure it's legit. They wanted me to send cash via special delivery and only then would they give me the details to give to the courier to pick it up. I offered to send the cash with the courier but apparently this isn't acceptable. Might be ok, particularly if you live local and can go in person. Just letting everyone know. I'm out anyway.
£3 more will outbid me on it...I've decided I would rather have more money to spend during freshers next week.

Would you say this is a bit dodgy?
It states it has 24 gears but I think, from the pic its converted to a single speed bike.
It has two chainrings...

hey, I dont know if you've left already so this may be no use.
But I just cycled 500 miles through france. We caught the eurostar to paris, cycled to Dijon, then Limoges. We camped sauvage and it is totally possible
( I learnt the hard way)Hi there, Haven't left yet! Flying on wednesday next week! How was the cycling out of Paris? And also, the route to Dijon?, as we are taking similar starting route just south of your course heading to Lyon.
We actually changed our minds from B&B'ing to camping last weekend. We have brought our tent but hadn't considered the idea of camping sauvage. I'm guessing its legal? Because waking up to the police would be a pain! How easy was it to find places suitable.
Cheers

I'm kinda bored of the gym these days!
Tell me about it... I cancelled my gym membership about 8 months ago, never been happier! Treated myself to an array of kettlebells and an olympic set and have never looked back!
I wish you could pay to spectate in gyms though, I do miss watching the T-shirt muscle crews and the groups of guys that would sit at a smith machine for hours on end...oh the joys, and the people who think they have the right to give me tips!! ... when they are bending over backwards whilst doing their 300 rep sets of bicep curls! haha

I've got a WOT warning (an add on by firefox) that that 118800 website has a poor reputation.. doesnt seem safe to me, specially if it "crashes" everytime you try.
Thanks for reminding me that I'm not using firefox! I always switch back to safari for some stupid reason.

Don't know if you guys know about it so thought I post this....
Aall UK mobiles will be on a directory which will mean that anyone will be able to access the numbers. It is easy to unsubscribe but it must be done before the beginning of next week to make sure that you are ex directory. You may want to suggest it to all your friends and family who have UK mobiles or they could be swamped by unsolicited messages and calls.
Removal is recommended by the BBC – see link below (9 June)
http://news.bbc.co.uk/1/hi/programmes/working_lunch/8091621.stm
To remove your number go here. (you need your mobile phone with you to do this, they text you a code)

I haven't been able to remove mine yet, website seems to have crashed everytime I try!

Lyon and then down the Rhone valley?
....is what we are planning to do.We only really started looking yesterday so if there are any big suprises you know of, please let me know ... !
We are staying for a week just north of Montpellier in a family friends holiday home in a quiet historic town....typical that they are the 'traditional english' type and have no ideas for us... :(

Info so far has been great to read, I'm cycling from paris to montpellier two weeks today. Has anyone here been on such a route before? If so any pointers would be great, also... there are so many maps to choose from! I noticed a reccomendation of a 1:200 000, anyone able to give a link to a map they used?
(We are doing this geared w/panniers :) )

OK.....I know I am new here; but you can trust me.
These came with a '94 Peugeot road bike which I just bought for a friend. Everything on the bike was stock, therefore I'm guessing these were too/or are at least a similar date.
Payment will have to be via. paypal...unless you live in bristol! I am only charging £3.50 for these and that includes postage (UK mainland only). They are worn, and one of the levers is bent.
First pm wins it, no dibs.
