Thanks to those with genuine replies.
The rest of you are brilliant. Seriously.
I hadn’t searched for tyres before but now I have.
I see that hundreds of people are selling second hand tyres; or looking for good tyres for skidding; or looking for good tyres for polo.
Brilliant. That seems to match exactly with what I want. I’m surprised that when I searched before, I didn’t notice.I also apologise for not realising what a crime it is to ask about things like this on a bike forum as a newbie. I now realize that unless you know everything about bikes, you should not post anywhere on this forum.
Cheers for the insight.

I've been riding a Fuji Track 2008 for about 4 months now and I've suddenly started to get loads of punctures.
The stock tyres are well known to be pretty dire but can anyone recommend a good upgrade? I don't want to really spend too much on upgrades at this point but some guidance on entry - mid level tyre options would be good.
I was thinking of maybe tryin the Continental Grand Prix as they seem to be about £20 each and the reviews are alright - anyone have experience with these?

I'm quite new to fixed and am riding 48x15 which is starting to have an adverse impact on my knees. I'm undecided whether to move to 48x17 or 44x15 to ease the pressure. Can anyone advise which would be better and also where would be good to pick up either a 17tooth sprocket (plus lockring - I'll use the unoccupied flop side of my flip flop)or a 44tooth chainring this weekend. I don't want to spend too much on either but would like something half decent.
Cheers,
Ben
The shitty stock tyres that come on the Fuji recommend a maximum pressure of 90psi. I've been pushing them up a bit beyond that though.
