Yeah, I knew there were a couple of exceptions but I couldn't be bothered to google them. Wonder why that is. Was Battersea renamed or something? I guess Crystal Palace was not part of London when they formed them maybe?
Did you mean there were no SE's between SE1 & SE11? Sorry if I have misunderstood.
Blackheath = SE3
Eltham = SE8 -
and buying a frame from the forum and selling back to the forum for £100 more
http://www.lfgss.com/thread53186.html#post1714807Agree.
Definitely a bad traders issue since, surely, less people will wish to sell nice stuff/cheap on here if they're gonna see it back on sale for a profit a few weeks later. Even if people don't care/agree about "not in the 'spirit' of the forum' " this sort of behaviour, if it became acceptable will make selling or buying on here nigh on impossible, no? -
Holdsworth track/path frame. Bad photos but could be nice frame.

Constrictor airlite wooden track wheels.

Don't know anything about this Russ track frame but it looks gorgeous

Because it looks hideous? Just a thought.
Hideous you say? I'm surprised not everyone loves them. Fair enough though, mystery solved.
This old Hobbs is a rare beauty imo:

Baines flying gate - (it's a mystery to me why people who spend so many hundreds of pounds on new road bikes don't just buy something like this instead)

early Carpenter from late 1938/9? is surely worth restoring...

Alan Bonds, Bob Searl, Gary Fisher, Charlie Cunningham, Steve Potts and Tom Ritchey disagree.
True, I really like the Elgin, just thought it might not appeal to many people's tastes especially if they wanted a bike to ride around London.

I might happily do so too, but this is an assumption. It isn't that trivial. That's all I'm gonna say.
+1
There are v.complex issues involved. The best choice isn't necessarily the cheapest. 'Better' can obviously mean different things to different people, non?
Or, maybe that's wrong and it's really very simple? -
This Elgin is interesting, (perhaps not to many), though maybe it would be difficult not to look like a prat when riding it...

Sadly watch this major taylor stem go for over a hundred...

Yes there is a lot of truth, but it shouldn't effect your hiring as they are mearly advertisers, they don't make money from the scheme (do they?!).
Josh I am hardly I a bleeding heart liberal (currently work for a shady insurance company and previously in the oil and gas industry) but it's not hard to bank ethically, coop, britania building society... In fact any building society... No need to be a vegan and wear hemp.
It's just the cluster bomb financiers advertising on the bike? Better, but still not great. Interested in how it all works. I reckon it's a good thing to have hire bikes and wouldn't condemn anyone for hiring one but still think it's v.necessary and worthwhile to be critical of the advertising and way it's sponsored etc etc. (Not a vegan/hemp wearer either).
I used to live in Deptford. About 25 years ago or slightly more, the High Street was a somewhat dangerous area to wander into at night. Now, art galleries.
