I know the reviews all say its great and its amazing but its really not. At least my experience wasn't.
I contacted ABUS weeks ago and NO response yet :( Poor form. This after a mere 30CM drop onto concrete:
https://www.flickr.com/gp/35764952@N05/939anj
https://www.flickr.com/gp/35764952@N05/3G10A6It looks as though the impact of the drop - weak as it was - dislodged the ABUS badge into its rubber housing which acted as a wedge to force the entire mech open (see second pic)
Once I plier'd the badge back into its original place the lock resettled - as if nothing had happened. Its crazy something like this can cause an expensive lock to separate like that.
If you own one of these, do test it as it could be something that you could regret.
Going back to my OnGuard. Zep out. -

Awww I'm sure you don't look hideous! Everyone gets a little fat now and then.
Try changing your mindset instead of going to the gym. Simply imagine YOU ARE the perfect weight, and look PERFECT and keep that affirmation up.
You'll see, soon enough - you won't even care.. as you'll be glowing from the inside out! -

Yo! I have a DPC 54cm thats about 4 months old bought new from Dolan online (got the email order etc).
Its got a few scratches but never been crashed / dropped / scraped so its in pretty good condition, however the bottom bracket cup (on the drive side) is seized in place and I cannot, for the life of me, get it undone.
I have carefully made little cuts in and around the cup with a hacksaw in an attempt to pry it off in parts but I decided my hands aren't careful enough so ill leave it to someone who is.
Anyone interested?
Looking for £60 and that includes p&p

thanks, thats a turn up for the books! thought maybe it was a weird european fitting / something I wouldn't be able to get easily. Nice one!
Im planning on converting it to a SS but hit a wall with the BB and couldn't find any information anywhere on it :/ So far just this:
700c wheels
1inch threaded steerer
68mm BB shell
will measure out the rear spacing when I can - hope its 120mm or some serious stay bendage will have to be done! -

update!
seized BB went from this
then followed advice to smash out the axle
(make sure the cup on the other side is off)
then got a hammer & cold chisel and started tapping (very slowly and carefully)
from the other side, lifting the cup away from the frame. Did this bit by bit over a week
took some time and mega patience, but it all paid off!
Seriously the frame was heading for the skip, cannot thank you guys enough especially snottyotter and nneil :)) bigup yoself!
I would actually feel bad for him if he got re-elected..
(i wouldn't)
