The advice i'd give you, which i've given to a few other people in MCR is to go to the Velodrome and see what is being sold on the notice board there, you'll be buying a bike that has rarely, if ever been used off the track, and will be at a much better price than you'll get on ebay. With a lot of juniors racing you''l find bike or frames they've out grown for sale as you're after something small.
One thing you'll want to check tho' is whether the wheels are for Tubs or Clincher tyres, you'll want clinchers for ease of use, pucture resistance & durabilty if you're skidding....
Just pop up there and ask where the notice board is... I can happily give you this advice cos' at your height you're not gonna be buying anything i want...!!! Good luck finding a ride....
Never thought of that, thanks alot, i'll check it out as soon as I get back

yeah, im not sure which would be more comfortable for me to ride, as I said im quite new and i've still got a lot to learn. My point was just that for the £350-400 for an OTP like the track or plug I think I would rather have something built with a bit more character. My friend has just spend £400 on a custom build with some second hand parts from a shop in mcr and it looks just as good as the otps but she got to put her own ideas into it, then shes gone on holiday for a month and said I can ride it but its just that little bit too big even after playing around with positions (with permision). Bane of my life having tiny legs!

a small plug would be way too big for youif you're 5'5.
Yeah i've heard that I would be best going for XS, I'll try that out first and see what its like.
Get that tablet on ebay… they're only useful for mac monkeys. Proper designers are more at home with a mouse or pen & paper. Once you've sold it we'll all be happy to help you out.
I don't know, I use a PC and I like using my tablet to trace drawings and sketches in and colour them on photoshop and it's good for typography aswel. I will actually miss it but I don't think I will when I finally get a bike lol. I'm guna put it on ebay but I need to wait till Im back in Manchester to take photos and stuff. Just thought I'd offer it on here first. I'm back in Mcr on April 20th and its my birthday May 18th so I'll have some cash. Hoping to be sorted by the end of May

dnmrt, please bare in mind that sometimes what may be percieved as abuse or insults to a new user, is actually a couple of mates taking the piss out of each other or people winding people they know for fun, I know you're in Manchester, but if you're ever down in London get yourself down to some drinks and/or out for a ride, we're a friendly bunch really!
Yeah I know it isn't all abuse ha, it doesn't take long to see who the main posters are on here and some of their rants at each other are hilarious. I just think there are some things that are abit uncalled for but on the other hand there are a lot of people who do ask for it, like I saw a thread about this dani guy who was trying to sell SS bikes brakeless in his first post that deserved a bit of a rant. And yeah soon as summer is here and I get my bike setup I'm guna be visiting friends at uni and people I've met through here and stuff. Can't really afford to go on holiday this summer so it's guna be bike tours all round I think! First off need to sort a bike, then get myself fit again then I'm away lol. Theres some people from the I bike mcr lot cycling down to Blackpool (my hometown) for the Nocturne so I want to try and do that (not to take part in a race, just for the cycle back). I think its about 60 miles which tbh will be the furthest ride I've been on. Used to go out a lot on like 12milers round Blackpool but since my bikes have been stolen I gave up and got unfit. I'm on a mission now though.
Life story in a post! -
yeah I called my local evans and they said that they didnt have XS/S size in so they would have order it in and build it and they wanted a £50 refundable deposit so I might just do it to try it out. I'm just thinking I'd like something abit different though, little bit lighter and can probably pick up some better parts aswel if I have one built. Heard bad things about the hubs on the plug. I'm not saying it's a bad bike, just saying you could maybe get something a little better for the same amount of money? People have told me to look at Fuji track and specialised but they look abit to much like standard road bikes. I want something that looks abit more classic, not like an ancient raleigh conversion but a more classic looking frame. I was even concidering getting a frame powdercoated then applying some of my own design work to it. I just need to focus on one idea and stop getting as excited lol.

Cool..From what I've been told Charge plugs are a good way to go!
PM me later tonight and I'l send you some pictures of what I can possibly sell you a build for around £300 mark
Theres a whole thread about them here and there are really mixed reviews, some say it's the best bike they've ridden and its a sturdy reliable bike but the downside is it weighs the same as a small car. If I got one it would only be a temp measure until I had the cash and tools to build my own I think. It makes me laugh some of the stupid arguments and abuse people get over their bikes on here though. people come on to learn and share a love for their hobby and just get taken the piss out of. I don't wnat to get involved with all that crap so I'm just quietly reading and searching through threads and teaching myself what I need to know instead of asking questions that get 100 sarcastic replies lol. The main thing that pisses me off though is that people think if you're a student and you're on here asking questions or you're on a standard otp like a plug then you're just following a trend. I just really love getting out on my bike and going fixed seems like a positive progression for me. Sorry for the rant!
Yeah, I'll PM you my e-mail and you could send me a few pics?
Thanks -
I know, that's the only reason I'm parting with this. Can't find a job in Manchester at all! Must've applied for like 60-70 bar/shop jobs and theres nothing. Working at the minute to get some funds whilst I'm home. Ermmm when I sell this I think my budget will be around £350-400. I think I'm going to just leave it until the summer and build myself one up, I'm just a bit desperate to get out and about now + I've still never actually owned my own fixed and I can't wait to get my own and get some mileage on it!
As for the tablet I think I might have to ebay it and hope for the best, think I'll put a reserve of at least £150 on it though, If it doesn't go at that I'll offer it on here for £100 -

is S for special?
What size are you and what sort of bike would you like?
S is for Small, sorry I should've made that abit clearer. I can't really afford to be fussy about brands and expensive parts at the minute. I've been after getting myself a fixed bike since I had a go on a friends in Amsterdam last summer and just not had the funds or time to build myself one. I just want a decent, reliable bike that doesn't look too knackered until I can find myself a job and start building my perfect one up myself. Im 5'5 and inside leg of 30". I was looking into a charge plug for this reason but for £400 I think I'd rather have something lighter with abit more personality. Sorry ha this sounds like a lonely hearts ad or something but I was going to make do with the mtb I've got at home until I can get some funds together over the summer but I've come back and my brothers somehow managed to completely destroy it so that's that plan over.
Any helps appreciated man.

Looking for a complete charge plug freestyler (or maybe just plug) in pretty good nick.
Found a size S online for £350 but from what I can work out it might be just a little bit too big for my 5"5' short arse. Been looking on ebay and classifieds but never find anything i've been taken with.
Also interested in any other good condition tiny man bikes around 52cm
Based in Blackpool so up North would be handy but I can possibly travel to collect if price is right.
PM me some info+pics
Thanks Guys
