Not sure if mentioned however, i went through Croatia & Italy for 7 days with a Wildcat Tiger (w/ dry bag). Worked nicely, not as expensive as other systems and didn't swing around too much. Managed to get a decent amount of stuff in there too - 3 jerseys, spare bib shorts, hoodie, jeans and underwear. Could have done with more room as I had a load of stuff in jersey pockets but this would only be for luxuries to be honest.

Hi, making some room at the moment so have a couple of things which need to go:

Fred Perry v neck 100% wool sweater, black with gold detail size 42/Large. Worn 5 or 6 times but in excellent condition with no holes/marks etc: £30

Levis 505 jeans 34" waist, 30" leg. Worn once, in excellent condition: £30

Vintage Puma bomber/skiing jacket. Think it's from the late 80s/early 90s, bloody warm and still in good condition with visible logo etc. Size L: £30

Share with one other person (me), a Web Developer and Recruiter.

I've recently changed gyms and the new one doesn't have a perm locker for my runners. Current pair are great but the knobbly soles mean getting in and out of straps on the bike is a bit of a mission.

Are there any running shoes with a smoother sole which could work from a cycling point of view whilst still being a decent running shoe?

Probably a fairly niche requirement but maybe one of you has had the same issue and found a decent solution?

Morning, I'm on the look out for a bike bag as I need to get my bike to Croatia and back again in a few months. 56CM frame.

Anyone got something cheap that would fit the bill or I could borrow for a week?

Just read through this thread as I'm also looking for a mounting device for my road bike which doesn't have mounts. Do we all agree that these Axiom Streamliner are the way to go?

Having read a few other forums on these, I have a few questions i hope someone can help with:

• Do you ever get your heal striking the panniers?
  
• How sturdy are they when loaded with, say 15KG load? I have read that they tend to move around a lot and in some cases strike the tyre.
  
• Would I be better to get one of these or a Topeak style seatpost mounted job for a week's touring (with minimal clothing/extras)?

Hi, looking at riding from Dubrovnik in Croatia to Trieste in Italy over 7 days this April and starting to put together some kit.

Main concerns are:

Backpack/saddlebag or saddlebag/hip-pack combo?

Riding a road bike with no option for panniers etc so it comes down to backpack or saddlebag/hip-pack combo.

These backpacks seem to have good airflow over the back and should hold enough kit, possibly when combined with a large saddle pack

What kit to actually bring?

Obviously I don't want to bring too much as I'll be riding 100KM per day so going the the minimal look!

2 x cycling jerseys (just wash them in a sink and dry overnight so I don't hum too badly)
1 windbreaker
1 x bib shorts 3/4 length
2 x tshirts/shirts for non cycling moments
1 x jeans/shorts for non cycling
canvas shoes (undecided as small but still adds weight
pump/levers/puncture repair patches & multi tool/spanner all inside saddle bag
3 x spare tubes

Water bottle in cage and camel back inside bag

Underwear shiz
Toothbrush
travel towel (fast drying)

What am I missing?

Any ideas/thoughts welcome!
