I’m running some mid 90s Campagnolo cranks on a 102 ISO BB, chainline is within a few mms and certainly a lot better than the Stronglight that was on when I bought it (the previous owner had messed around with hub spacers to get a good chainline and ended up with the wheel off centre). A little clearancing was required, plenty of metal there, the pedal doesn’t even use all the thread.

I got myself a green one in L and I think I'm going to be OK (wheel sea). The Pompino has a very relaxed seat angle. I'm used to a 74 deg on the road. With an inline seatpost to give the same saddle setback as my most comfortable road bike, for the same stem length I get the same saddle to bar distance. One thing I hate is short head tubes and a multitude of spacers or an upturned stem to get the bar height right, I fear I will get this with an M.
I'll post pics this week, once I have changed a few components.
Thanks for your input all. If it doesn't work out, I'll chop it in for an M.

Moskva (I will check the name again) have a bead blasted braking surface. I think they are the same extrusion as Omega V and Ypsilon too...
Sorry, my mistake, they are Campag Mexico rims...
is that a dummy brake lever you got there too (on the dave lloyd)? nice to see someone else rockin that! i couldn't quite bear to lose the position on the hoods.
Yep, it is a dummy. I couldn't bear to lose the position on the hoods either...

Ah fillet brazed, very nice. And yeah, after writing I noticed no eyelets on the forks, and thought maybe a derailer was involved.
Never seem the 'Moskva' rims before but I finished lacing a Campag Omega V just 10mins ago! They look pretty similar too.

Great looking frame/forks/stem/bars/wheels. Quite unusual too; being handmade in the UK, tig welded, and with mudguard eyelets.
How old is it?
Thanks for comments. Frame is fillet brazed 531C. Not sure how old, but it was around when the Manchester bombings took place in 1996, hanging up in Harry Hall's, and I would imagine it was secondhand then.
No mudguard eyelets, that is a rear mech hanger (bit of a strange addition for horizontal dropouts).
Cinelli XA stem, Cinelli 65s, Campag Moskva rims with SJSC hubs. All (except for the hubs) left overs from the early 90s...
Has now been passed on to a colleague at work... He borrowed it to train for a Newport velodrome session I organised and fell in love with it.

I am in the market for new pedals. Is this true Rob. Look pedals only for Newport. I plan to go soon so better make sure i get the right pedals. If so, what do people recommend. I like to have a little bit of float to adjust my knee positions slightly while riding. Any thoughts?
I have never had any problems using SPDs at Newport... The hire bikes are Look pedals. You can't change them, but they do have clips and straps adaptors...

I'm selling my green Pompino frame (check back a few pages for photo), size L, if anyone is interested. Stronglight chainset and corresponding bottom included also. LMK if interested. Not sure what it is worth. Located Bristol.
