there were some columbus tubed frames made of a mixture of cinelli and gazelle parts
that were never officially released, could be one of those or maybe not!!
raleigh professionals had a similar seatcluster but the pics on sheldon of a similar coloured
frame dont have longpoint lugs at the front and has bolt on chrome cable clips, where as
mine has the welded clips for the cables, the forks are completely different as well -
Picked this frame up last night apparently it's columbus tubing,Had a good scan on the net and the only lugs that match are on a gazelle, also found a gazelle of the same colour on the same sitewhich also had columbus tubing

Microballoons are microscopic spheres of glass so when mixed with epoxy it effectively
becomes fibreglass,i would be tempted to wrap 2/3 layers of thin carbon cloth soaked in epoxy around the joint for belt and braces
Dont be tempted to use screws and the like,They will just cause the carbon to splinter over time, you could drill straight through the tube and lug and fit some solid fibreglass rod (b+q used to sell it)Say 3 or 4mm dia -

oh also if anyone spots any bargain parts let me know. im looking to replace pretty much everything apart from the frame and handle bars. first buy i think will be some brake levers, was going to buy some new ones from chain reaction but would defiantly be interested in some half decent second ones
Someones selling some Peugeot bits over on ebay at the mo

My mate who is an experienced cyclist, although he's only been riding fixed gear a couple
of months needs to see the error of his ways,He rides a pompino on fairly low g.i.(65")
as he has a hilly commute,to avoid taking his work boots he rides on flat pedals with no
foot retention,on the downhills he just takes his feet off the pedals (He's got front and back brakes)at speeds of up to 40mph,He's getting a bit uppity about being told not to
ride fixed like this,But i can only see this ending horribly for him sooner or later. If anyone can suggest a way of making him see the error of his ways I would be eternally grateful,Praps a link to some other individual who tried this and came a cropper would help

I've got a pug from 1984,so probably very close to yours,It takes 700c wheels fine
and 57mm drop front brake, rode around on the original chainset for a while, but a 48 tooth
was just too much oop ere int Pennines,Tried the inner ring but 38 teeth had me spinning downhill
like a Jack Russell on speed, ended up changing to a 44 tooth which is more or less perfectHope your seatpost is not to short as Pug posts are a weird 24mm o/d

That welded lump under the downtube on the pompino doesn't exactly fill you with confidence, have you considered the cotic escapade? similar price to the steamroller but takes disc brakes.
