I just bought a vintage french bike as a present for my gal, and took it up to Tour De Ville to get pimped up a bit, but apparently it needs a new cottor pin(?) and because of the archiac design of the bike, ones that fit this model are hard to come by.
It's a French brand and I would guess it's from the 70s.
Any thoughts on where I could try to track down the right part?
So far I've tried a bit of googling, ebay, Condor, and Tour De Ville. No joy yet...

Finally got my bike built up after what seems like months of preparation!
14 frame, with nice Columbus SL tubing, Sugino 75 chain set, Rigida wheels, and a beatiful set of vintage mooustache bars from Tour De Ville.
Only thing is the frame has an Ahead stem system, which I think spoils the look a bit (I'm a sucker for the aesthetics)... I've heard about a nice sleek Ahead stem, but I can't remember the brand...
Any suggetions?
Cheers.

Hello London Fixed Gear!
A few of my friends have been riding fixed gear bikes for the last year or so and I've spent the last 6 months or so spending far too much time drooling over all the amazing custom track bikes I keep seeing around London.
I reckon I've just about saved up enough to get myself on the road, and I'm in the process of making final decisions as to what I should get.
Been to Condor, spoke to the guys at Tour de Ville and Tokyo Fixed Gear, and so far met lots of very helpful, knowledgable, friendly people...
Any advice for a new fixed rider would be most welcome!
Cheers!

Hey guys,
Been a while since I've posted on here... Hope everyone's well!!!
Thinking of doing a nice Sunday pm ride from Hackney to Epping Forest and back this weekend... Anyone got any good routes?
I thought up through Tottenham, then Walthamstow would be good, but not sure about the way back...
Anyone got any tips?
Cheers!
