A few things for sale in a bid to clear out before a house move.
Bob Jackson Super Tourist frame 55cm. It's 531, in metallic blue (perhaps more metallic than the pics would suggest). Was told it was built in the 90's by the previous owner. Condition is great save for the odd blemish on the paintwork and some of the lug paint has worn off. Has a Stronglight headset installed, which would probably appreciate a bit of grease. Lovely frame. SOLD

Ha! 'A courier'. Overdrive will be turning in his pre-grave. I'm the folding prince of fakengers.
Sorry to hear you'd been knocked off by another rider. My sense of timing and appropriacy are still up to scratch :/
Fear not folding prince of fakengers, it lightened the mood and took my attention away from the newly acquired gammy wrist.

Bought a Bikebox from here:
http://thebikeboxcompany.co.uk/
for a recent trip to the US. My bicycle made it back in the condition it went and the case itself is still in tip top condition. It comes with wheel bags, a little trinket bag and a couple of foam square things. I'll also throw in some of that foam pipe cladding too.
The weight was about 26kg with a 54cm Bob Jackson inside. It's not the build quality of a bikeboxalan say, but it withstood the BA baggage handlers with nary a scratch.
Paid 150 for it, looking to get 100 clams (5 of which to be donated to the forum). You can store 2 fully sized adults in this thing, so you'll need to come collect from Stoke Newington.
Thanks all

Hey guys and girls!
This is my great-grandfather Ernest in 1907, just after he won £100 in a race on a cinder track.
Fixed gear ...That is absolutely awesome... He's dashing like Gregory Peck but on a fixed!

An update to this debacle is that the CCTV is in fact fake. Bumflaps. Apparently forensics are involved now(!) and they are collecting snipped crappy chain from me later.
Thanks for the limerick Mobidog, you can always depend on the power of rhyme to ease the pain of a stolen ride. And here is hoping my Bob will look half as slick as yours Ed. It's a good job I ordered it NINE WEEKS AGO. It won't come a day too soon now - squashed on a bus for the commute till then.

Thanks for the sympathetic replies all. I will have a look round Brick Lane, but I've a distinct feeling that's the last I'll be seeing of that one. The only thing that softens the blow is that I've a Bob Jackson coming from Cavendish any day now. But still, the Filmore was an excellent steed while it lasted.
One things for sure, I'll NEVER again think it'll be 'OK' to just use a crappy cable lock, no matter how secure things might seem.
Tranz x skewers still up for sale...
