Here we have a superb Dutch bicycle, in excellent condition, purchased in Holland less than a year ago and used once. It is single speed, and has the traditional Dutch backpedalling braking system, good for the buttocks :) It is just about the best looking bike I have ever seen. The bike is in excellent condition, having only been ridden once due to it being too large for the person it was purchased for. Please note it doeshave a seat, as per picture 3.
- Sturdy racks on front and back
- A very secure full push-down rear stand (see back wheel)
- Dynamo lights front and back.
- Rear reflector
- Integrated lock/handbrake
- Removeable chainguard and removeable mudguard
- Reflective strips on tyres (see third photo which was taken with flash
Traditional Dutch braking system - rear coaster back-pedal brake
Here are some DimensionsDiameter of entire wheel including tyre 27
Crank to top of seat tube (Frame Size) 22.5
Top tube length (well the equivalent as strictly speaking it has no cross beam) 22"
With the seat at its lowest, from the pedal (when it is at the bottom of its rotation) to the top of the seat (when the seat is is at its lowest) is 32.5", so I suppose this means you need to have at least this inside leg measurement to ride this bike with the saddle as it is. However the saddle adds an extra 3.5" of height (the pedal in its lowest position to the top of the seatpost is 29") so possibly a different saddle with a narrower profile means a shorter inseam can ride the bike. This however is speculation, I am no bike fitting expert - please message me for any measurements you personally require
With the seat at its lowest, from the floor to the top of the seat is 35.5".
The only things to mention are:The seat is not original to the bike, and is older than the bike, but it is perfectly adequate. There are a couple of small tears in the fabric. The seat is pictured in picture 3
There are some very minor paint chips at the top of the seatpost, directly below the saddle
There is a very tiny amount of paint chipping under the rear dynamo light.
Asking Price 230 pounds, can be collected from High Barnet, details to follow with interest.
