As an Alevel CDT teacher stick to something simple. marks are awarded for finish and process, not complexity. if you end up with a mash of cheap mild steel tubing and shitty joints its a fail! compared to your mates turned, sanded and varnished fruit bowl who will get good marks.
remember who is marking this, and what they are used to. dont try and break the mold, not at GCSE.
best of luck.

After a bit of ringing around I took a couple of frames to these guys in failsworth, Tony was really good, showed me and mrs Jackson around the factory, talked us through colours, samples etc, shot blasted the frames and forks, Mrs J had a rack and chain guard all for £35 per bike, pretty good! turn around in 24/48 hours. supprisingly good finish considering both bikes are from the mid 80's
will try and post some pics up when they are built up.
( i dont work for them before you ask, just impressed with the service!)

I once had a puncture, i remember it well, it was a year or two ago now, long before i found this forum, looking back, the answer was staring me in the face but at the time i couldnt see it, didnt know what to do, i felt all alone, a little upset.
anyway, the puncture was in the innertube, only a small hole, but enough to let out some air, which was problematic, as i wanted very much to ride my bike, but couldnt.
anyway, the days passed by, autum turned to winter, winter to spring, spring to summer, summer to autum, autum to winter, winter to spring, spring to summer.
then it struck me, fix the fucking thing, replace the innertube, pump it up, get a puncture repair kit, fix the old tube and use it as a spare.
so fuckingly simple!
