Greetings from Brizzle Trackdropouts group... I remembered not to advertise these elsewhere this time so here's my totally legit-to-the-rules FS thread for you.
First up is a Sugino super maxy chainset with fixed 48t ring that velo solo were knocking out a while back. No wear at all but a few rub marks from test riding etc, complete with nice shiney crankbolt caps and a shimano BB (not sure of length but gives a perfect 42mm chainline, unlike the original old school BB supplied with it). 165mm cranks. Note that the ring is fixed to the cranks so it cannot be changed. SOLD
Fixed sprockets - 18t On-One cromo £8 and 16t no name complete with a bit of rust £3. All 1/8th and absolutely no visible wear whatsoever - prices are posted to your door.
Fixed wheelset is made up of Ambrosio hubs (120mm oln double fixed rear and matching front hub), with NOS Rigida 27 1/4" alloy rims and DT competition spokes. 36H, tyres not included.

I'm a sporadic user of this forum seeing as I'm based in Bristol (would probably be able to meet up in London though as I'd be hesitant to post it), but wanted to offer these up here before resorting to ebay and because at the very least I thought you might appreciate some vintage fixed porn...
Just been given notice of redundancy, so looks like I'll be out of work 29th April. Getting rid of everything that I don't strictly need or use so...
Bates BAR Road/Path frame (Best All Rounder - their top of the line frame), 1958, recently fully restored by Argos Cycles to it's original factory colour (I got in touch with the guy who has the original order book to check).
Chroming was re-done but there is some mild pitting on the chainstay that could not be buffed out - purely cosmetic. Dropouts at rear and at fork have been ground out to allow use of 10mm axles to run modern kit and similarly the rear end re-set to 120mm from the older 110 standard. Comes with new headset as supplied by Argos. Technically a 23" frame, the slackasahookersbox seat angle means that, by more modern sizing standards, it's nearer a 22"-22 1/2", and as such it was too small for me anyway. It's in storage at the minute but will grab it out for more detailed measurements in another week or two.All manner of pimpness has been applied as per the original order - this was a top of the line frame and therefore there is chrome, lug lining, and double box lining enough to get anyone's juices flowing. Oh, and don't forget the mad crazy fork and super stiff (for the period!) cantiflex tubing. It's a pretty unusual example as there really aren't many Bates road/path frames about with track ends.
Would be looking for £450 for F+F+HS. Still have the Argos receipt for, erm, a fair bit more than this for the restoration (not that it means anything as far as the value goes!).
Option of £700 for the full build which includes Rigida NOS 36h 27 1/4" rims on formula hubs with panaracer pasela TG tyres, one piece vintage style NOS sugino chainset (with shimano sealed BB), MKS pedals/clips and pimpy white straps, nitto stem and randonneur bars, cheapy seatpost and campag brakes. No saddle.

Plus:
Pimp road-race wheels - Pianni sprint rims on Royce hubs, 20h built by Pete Matthews, literally just been test ridden and nothing more - totally mint. Shimano freehub, bladed spokes front, DB rear. 1400g the pair. £200. (Hubs alone would cost nearly £300 to buy.)Tufo Elite Ride tubular tyres, new and unused, 23mm, 250g. £45 each from planet-x. £65 the pair. Will chuck in tub tape for them.
Pair of planet-x wheel skewers. Alloy handle, chromo axle. New and unused. Front 48g, Rear 53g. £10
Just to reiterate, this stuff is all in Bristol but I can post or arrange a meet up. Just PM me if you want to discuss any options.

Just thought I'd put this one out there in case someone was interested.
I've got a pair of black 34" waist (their 'American feel good' sizing means actually a 36") WWR's. They've had very little wear but unfortunately I came off on ice back in January so they have a couple of small tears/scuffs on hip and knee.
Anyone got a pair of 32's they want to swap? Any colour, any condition (happy to bung cash to make up for damage). Only caveat is that I'm in Brizzle so would need to post or wait until I'm next in London (another few weeks away).
Will try and get some pics of the damage.

NOW SOLD
Morning all, thought I'd offer this up here seeing as none of the local bods from the Bristol forum are interested.
Pennine 531 lugged steel frame – 19″ ctc seat and 20 1/2″ ctc top. Orange colour finish in reasonable nick but needs a little cleaning up. The lug lining looks like it was done by ray charles if inspected up close (it's on the outside of the lugs which is a Pennine trademark) but looks good at 'stand back and admire' distance. Was going to build this up for the missus but we're off touring around Europe for three months so have decided to clear out as much as possible to reduce storage costs.
Ideal fixed conversion:
120mm rear spacing
Loooong forward-facing horizontal dropoouts for loads of adjustment - with no ugly derailleur mounting tab!165mm chainset fitted (inner ring can be un-bolted from the 44t outer) giving a 42mm chainline (old fashion cup'n'cone BB needs greasing, maybe new bearings or you can just replace with a sealed unit)
Takes 700c wheels with standard drop calipers (drop is about 45mm), nut fitting but it'd be easy enough to drill the fork out to fit a modern recessed bolt jobbie
Has clearance and braze-ons for full mudguardsSOLD

+1 definitely un rota-fix it, doesn't do any damage to the bike if you use a rag, only way to put a cog on or off... do it all the time, don't know why anyone would do anything else
Ditto - not even any tools required. I will add that rag around the BB shell should be augmented by one around the chain stay if you're really, really prissy about the frame.

They don't fit anything !!
They were too small for my DT Swiss rims, my Open Pros and some other rim I forget the name of.
What you have to do is to spread the tabs out a little (to ones that hold them in position) - they work fine then.
Weird - they were hard work getting into my open pros last year! The rigida holes are huge, I tried spreading and they still just drop straight out.
31t®um - good point, well made, but I'm sure there's a flaw in there somehwere...

I've got three sets of 72 veloplugs (two unopened) which I bought for a couple of sets of wheels I was building with Rigida rims. Unfortunately they don't fit the larger spoke holes on Rigida chrinas so I won't be needing them.
They do, obviously fit velocity rims, and also I've installed a set on mavic open pros - can't comment on any other rim.
£10 a set posted - please, no dibs, just PM me for payment details (bank transfer preferred or cheque, paypal fee avoidance is a must!).
Thanks,
Graham
JAA is taking the crankset and ms okra the wheelset. Thanks all.
