Pat on the back for the Surly rider who would have stopped for me to cross the road where Marylebone High St joins Paddington St this morning. I was lost in a chicken and bacon sarnie and didn't give it a second thought at the time but with the bad press we get it good to see there are some good guys about. :-)

My part of the project is the mechanical and electrical install on a school, theres a re-furb of the existing building to do too but at the moment we're on the new build.
stradam, when you say IT which bit in perticular? the cabling and infastructre side or the computer / hard ware side.
PM me, a friend and I are heading up the M&E side of the business as a new department in a well established company and are looking for Project managers. May be up your street, may not?

I've got a job in Marylebone on a site that is scheduled to run 'till August. The company are paying for me to stay in a hotel (£80 a night) monday to thursday night and I go home on Friday night after work making it a PITA lugging my stuff home and back every week. For that sort of money I should be able to get a flat and cover my bills (shouldn't I?)
Does anyone know of a flat / shared house for a fixed riding, non smoking 39 year old project manager for a short term tenancy?

'The Forum' already owns one, but I guess it dissolved somewhere along the line because no-one knows what happened to it.
Maybe, just maybe the forum bike is being loved by someone? It's a bit of a tradision in england to fafour the under-dog.
Got some bits to put on mine (may as well use them untill I get my Mercian sorted) An ITM stem Sugino Mighty crank, a Shimano 105 front brake, some pedals with a spd clip one one side and flat on the other (Bike Hut specials I think) and I have some ITM carbon forks but I'm undecided about fitting them. None of it's top-end stuff but I suppose just about anything is an upgrade on a unipack. Got to get a bottom bracket and a back wheel too.
Pitty The Unipack.

on 50psi will give you pinch punctures.
this is a joke right? your not One One posing as sco77w? In which instance i'd recommend a Swagger bike for TT, every club run needs some bling.
yes to the tyre pressure ( I do own a track pump)
Just think, skin suit, aero helmet and a unipack with cut down rised bars. -

not an expirienced forum poster. -
Yea, its a cheap bike, so dont expect the creators to go thorough all the R 'n D shit when they can just steal a commonly known, trustable geometry.
And yea, the unipacks Geo is nearly 100% the same as the plug.
Are there any plug copies out there? some stickers and a change of wheels and instant acceptance into the fold. No longer a unipack lepper.
He slowed down and nodded to allow me to cross but as there was no one behind him I waved him thro' and crossed at a leasurly pace eating my sandwich
MMMMMMMMMMM sandwich.
