kvik, that is exactly the kind of thing I want to build up.
I know that they're expensive, but I think that moser is a bit over priced imo. We've been looking on the bay and it looks like £250+ for old raleigh clubmans etc is norm.
Don't mind spending around that much, happy to do work, just mainly want a good frame for us to build on, so we can cycle berlin-budapest this summer. -
I need a mixte, preferably a full bike, for my girlfriend.
I am more interested in a better quality touring frame, ideally with 531 tubing, campag, shimano or equal drivetrain, braze ons and all the rest. The dream is an old whitcomb, claud, etc.
But anything will be considered. She is 5'7'' so anything around 54cm/21-23inches ideal.
She has a penchant for brazed-on racks integrated into the frame....
Will collect and pay in cash. -

Frame, fork & headset. Internal cable routing.
Resprayed before I got it, generally good condition, no crashes etc. Used to be my winter bike in t'countryside before I moved to London. Very comfy because of the solid-but thin stays. Would build into either a good ss, or a perfect budget road build for commuting or training on. Headset is notchy but totally usable.
£80/offers? Would also exchange for a mixte frame for my girlhttps://picasaweb.google.com/lh/photo/sh_5Nc38sYlBIMqzjGD4lw?feat=directlink

superprecise-i agree with what you say about focussing on positives etc and not labelling.
I only call myself an anarchist because it provides an umbrella of idealogies which I feel most able to identify with.
There are many and varied groups that call themselves anarchist, all with their own working methods, processes, and aims. The only principles that we all agree on are autonomy (the right to make your own decisions, hold your own opinions and act how you wish, which I think answers most of the critiscism above), solidarity with others, and action.
There is a huge amount of thought that goes into most groups that I have been involved with, and it's always a balance between theoretical debate and taking some action. Some people like to take action without thinking too much about it because they feel that something is wrong, others like to debate and write a lot about their motivations, while taking a bit less action. I think you have to find a balance between the two.I just think that anarchism is about thinking freely and critically, and defending what you care about, while proposing alternative ways of doing things (and no, that doesn't have to include living in a fucking bender)..
Most people on this forum will be feeling the effects of a government pushing through hardline austerity measures. Yet there still doesn't seem to be a general feeling of doubt about what the government is doing. Corporate tax avoidance costs the country £25bn per year. I suppose the question is really not why people choose to be anarchists, but why those who criticise them are not looking into their motivation for action. -

Reading through this thread I am frustrated, and a little suprised (although I probably shouldn't be) about the polarised and frankly misinformed or short sighted view that many have been taking. There is an attitude, which is reinforced by the media, that 'anarchists' are either underground, well organised terrorists, slightly mad attention seekers (see chris knight), or yobs out for a fight. While all three of these may be occasionally true, the majority of people I have met who have identified as anarchist are in reality far from this sterotype. To be honest, I'd argue that most of the conservative party fill these roles in one go. Also, stop the shit about vegan food. If you don't want to eat it don't. But it's normally really tasty, and it's just nonsensical to argue that the provision of vegan food is an exclusive choice, or a prerequisite to being an anarchist. I'm an anarchist, I choose to cook vegan most of the time, because it helps keep my weight down (and not from a lack of choice or protein) and I don't like to support an industry that is massively carbon intensive, and treats animals in a way I wouldn't be happy to witness myself. But if you want to eat meat then fine! I ate meat for 9 years, and still occasionally indulge myself.
Stop generalizing, stop quoting from media stereotypes etc. -

I reported this at Brixton station last night, for once they were really helpful and upbeat about the chances of catching him. Because it's fake plates, ANY black celica pulled over will be checked. If you see it parked up defs call the bill! Thanks guys. I hope his mother gives him a good talking to when I get this dickhead in court.
Oh; this happened just past clapham south station at 1740 on Sunday. -

It was like this; but with a larger custom spoiler. If you do see it, give thee old bill a call and state what you know; which is that it was involved in an inccident with me and they're wanting to find it. If the reg is different; they were fake plates anyhow so that doesn't matter. If you see a black Celica with a spoiler, ring em. Thankyou v much guys x

Youre a nasty piece of work. Punched me from his window, pushed me, dove me into oncoming traffic. Called me a gay prick and offered to stab me. Well done for having fake plates.
Happened on clapham common southside. If anyone sees this asshole post up here I will be filing a complaint-the police want me to, and it would be good to get as much as I can. Fed up of wankers like this getting away without charge. -
twinging for you stelle, broke mine not long ago and it sucked. getting out of bed becomes a nightmare.
Who had a puncture?
Need to investigate this as the surface isn't up to running racing tubs any more and people are puncturing all over the shop. We may possibly even need to introduce a rule on tyres
is there anything we can actually do about the surface? last couple of weeks there's been aggregate spraying all over the place.....call me square but could we not just take an hour and some brooms to clear some of this off?
gren, how much would you be looking for for the frame?
