Hello all,
Thought this could be of interest, my two part interview with the chap who was responsible for bringing and organising the 5th stage of the 1994 Tour in Portsmouth. Details the hurdles of bringing such a massive operation to town whilst keep in schtum and discusses any potential legacies on a local and national level.
Rather selfishly a friend of mine decided to get married in the Dorset countryside tomorrow, so I wish everyone attending a great time.

Re: dinlo, it's a word deeply embedded down here in the Portsmouth & Southsea area. Part of everyday vocab. Sometimes simply shortened down to "din" or a bit "dinnie". Interesting about a potential Romany origin. We also really enjoy the world "squinny" down here. Anyway, this thread has been truly awesome. Good luck to everyone and I look forward to seeing the outcome.

I never met the dude but he seems like any one of my friends. Sadly I have first hand experience of losing a loved one through suicide. The destruction and soul searching it causes is colossal. My thoughts are with him and his family. I think it would be great if the appropriate person could forward this thread to his family (when they feel it is appropriate to do so), I know they will find the warm stories, candid photos and shows of love very comforting. Look out for each other and keep an eye on your loved ones.

Ha ha, repped.
In all seriousness though, I'm 5'10" and I'm on a large frame with a 10deg stem and 30mm of spacers. I know some people will say that running 30mm of spacers is shit and you should have a pointy up stem but i've got the bars where I need em and I think it looks better this way, on this bike anyway.
Nicest Pomp on teh'web.
