a 2009 giant bowery frame. forks bb and seat clamp(not pictured)

its a Large, only few weeks old, has the odd cosmetic small mark from use but no dents/dints

Actually, it appears to be a 2008 Bowery with the 2009 Bowery '84 handlebars, stem, seatpost, saddle, and possibly, wheelset?
So a mixture of Bowery bits from 2 models over different years.

All I'm seeing is a standard Bowery.

has black callipers (not shown)

mine has silver, with deep section rims from bowery 84, and saddle bars etc

although not a full custom - you cannot buy the bike ive built in this colour scheme or component package

ive took the best from both I think

maybe the difference is too subtle for some

heres a pic of my custom giant bowery

its an 08 frame with parts from a 09 giant bowery 84

I like the chrome / black look as you can guess

think i might shorten the bars a bit - but will try it first to see how i go

I know some wont like it - but thought id chuck a pic of it here anyway

mansfield anodisers (in mansfield) have a bood rep - i know people have used them a lot for bmx parts

if you need to strip anodising then, yes oven cleaner works

im into details on bikes, and even commented on the brake cables cos i like em soo much - sad isnt it?

I think its good a copany like Giant have incresed their range of SS to four models from one last year - I realise this makes SS less "niche" for some purists - but I dont see this as a bad thing - its all good

I have no affiliation to giant - but do own a few of their bikes, and rate them highly, thats all

Im building a bowery from a mix of 2 models - hopefully to get the best of both

Bowerys are no good. I'll give you £50.oo for it, and you'll find thats a good deal.

I like this bowery, and have a few answers regarding design

The giant bowery 76 (white / red) was done to celebrate that a giant bike was first rode in the olympics in that year. The font of the decals is same as was being used in 1976 by giant

The bike above (bowery 84) was done to mark the first year aero bars were used in the olympics, as the 76, the decal font is from that year.

Ive seen one, the saddle is really good quality and I think a nice touch, I like the wheels, apparently giant have have loads of requests to supply them for market.

Ive bought one - but am making a few changes to it, details to follow
