I've done plenty of multi-day through-hikes in Europe, but off to Morocco over Christmas. What insurance do people use? I've been pretty lax in the past...
Global rescue and World Nomads are well reviewed if a bit expensive. I'll be pretty remote for a few days so emergency rescue feels like something I should probably have as a backup.

Shame as I ended up quite enjoying it

So, what started as a quick pump change on my ancient Gaggia classic, escalated...
Before I attempt any percussive maintenance, any ideas how I can remove the steam arm assembly from the boiler? I've removed the bolts but it's still stuck. Was thinking about a citric acid bath but not sure how the copper/bronze would react

On a separate note, I had the fences redone last year. There are gravel boards and it now feels like I've almost hermetically sealed the garden off! While this is great at holding back the hordes of invasive plants the neighbours are ignoring, it's not so good for wildlife, particularly the amphibians I'm hoping to attract to the pond to deal with the slugs next year...
I was thinking of putting couple of 2" blocks of wood between the fence and the gravel board to make a gap for wildlife between the gardens. Would it make more sense just to cut a larger square hole (hedgehog door/tunnel) on either side? I'm mid-terrace, so the likelihood of a hedgehog actually being around to make use of the larger hole feels pretty minimal

Nine times out of ten I definitely don't need to travel, but there's a perception in the business that face to face is better for building relationships with clients (I work in a services business), and in some cases the clients specify it.
I appreciate stopping the emissions before they start is definitely best, and I'm aware of the petro roots of the idea of individual responsibility for carbon footprints, but are there any effective methods of offsetting personal emissions people use? Or is the whole offsetting industry a bit of a greenwashing scam?

Triggered by the carbon offsetting chat in Boycott Everything...
I'm increasingly having to travel for work, which involves a lot of flights. I've pushed for train travel for European options but it's refused as typically significantly more expensive.
Other than changing my job, which feels counter intuitive as some other poor sod would have to schlep across the globe instead, are there any effective things people do in similar situations to reduce their climate impact?
Emissions through travel are already included in the businesses net zero plan, but I've not huge faith in it and would rather try to take control myself where I can.

Slightly mixed but not really through choice:
Left sided writing, cricket, football, darts, scissors.
Right handed golf, guitar (both rarely used and pretty badly!), no choice for hockey.
Switch between both hands using the mouse at work (to solve shoulder problems).
Can't throw overarm right handed to save my life. Preferred to pass right at rugby.
Can write pretty legibly & quickly right handed.
Always assumed more lefties with ambidextrous traits than right handers?

Any sort of moisture is an issue, even towel dried hands after washing up can cause it to be a bit temperamental
