you should fit one of the spacers into the clips on the bag, then adjust then clips so they are the full width of the rack strut and won't slide, that will keep them in place.
better still is to fit some protective material to the rack rather than the spacers, thus taking up the space in the clips, and protecting your rack...

(scroll down, you can find better stuff to do it with in most plumbing supply stores). -
Here's the route:
That looks excellent - enjoy.
I rode North West from Lairg along side Loch Shin, then took that track over Ben Hee to Loch Hope. Great experience: https://www.flickr.com/photos/47853324@N08/4945536158/
Touring in Scotland is the best!

Layback with a very short stem there.
That's a lovely setup though. What bars?
long Femurs = lay back post.
Short body and arms = short stem.
T-rex body.Bars are Deda big piega, nowt special, a little too deep for me, cobbled together from the parts bin...
Cant wait for the spring to come so I can ride it - it is still knocking around the double digit negatives here! Oh canada!

i would have thought it would be fine - the roads would be gritted and salted?
I rode nearly the whole way up the tourmalet in April, until we can upon an un passable snow bank, until that point there was no ice - the french are very good at looking after their roads. (managed to ride over all roads attempted that week - about 11 col's).
take a wind breaker for the cold decent first thing!
(i know its a different mountain range - but just offering a thought).

umm, i thought there were also few other sports, no?
I thought that there was betting on Ekiden too??
I do love that sports like running and cycling seem to be so popular over there in Japan. One of my friends just ran the Fukuoka marathon. It was televised, like the majority of their running events. -
and lasts just a few days.
