Thought some of you may be interested, so passing the information on:

A friend of mine has run a successful coach service back from Dunwich for the last couple of years. 2 luxury coaches with reclining seat and blackout windows will be setting off from Dunwich at 11am and heading straight to Stratford Station for drop-off. Lots of free beer will be included and secure transport for bikes in separate Luton vans.

Anyone who has done this ride before knows that it can be difficult to get out of the area in the morning. I know this from bitter personal experience so thought this may be handy!

Understated design. And I am intrigued by the sideways fastening mech. It should work on normal saddle rails right? Unless there is something I've misunderstood?

Would probably ONLY fit a standard dia. saddle rail. Any deeper/carbon rails probably not (they may do different fittings.

Looks like an old Specialized post I had, bit of a faff to be honest.

I would have thought this would confuse people more than anything, if of course they can actually see it. I'd prefer the driver to be noticing me rather than a picture of a bike 5 metres ahead of me.

There's a bloke called Hilary Stone whom buy and sell old frames, I don't know if he kept a record of bicycle/frame he sold as it might be a good place to start to look for your Vic Lyons racer.

I'd heard that some people were looking for transportation back from Dunwich. A couple of my friends at The Cycologist have a minibus and Luton arranged for safe bike and body return to London.
