Just bought £150 worth of Icebreaker merino baselayers for £21 at Black's closing down sale!

It's a pisser for the staff but if one is closing near you watch out for the reductions. 70% reduction at my local shop; when I got to the counter I discovered that was 70% off the already reduced price. Of course sizes might be a problem but worth a look.

The bit through Wivenhoe Park is a private university road but you can get through. Beware speed bumps and level crossing style barrier. (You have to take the pavement to avoid it and the mortar between setts has crumbled leaving a channel that took my 23mm front wheel perfectly this morning!)

Lezyne Pressure Drive Mini Pump small. Very good so far. One problem - it has rubber seals and when I have it in a jersey pocket, body heat makes it bigger and longer (not sure about harder!). Unplug the end and it remains calm but ready.

Can I put in a plea for Velomancer_2.jpg? That is one of the few shirts that would stand out on a bike. The main design is on the back of the shirt where it should be. I'd buy a red one and a black one. Vote Velo!

The earlier wounded pleas for fair assessment of your point of view at least had some hopeless logic to them. But that that simply isn't a reasonable expectation.

If you had read my posts, you would see that I have not made any arguments or even expressed my own opinion (except on no cooling for 10 years). You couldn’t on that basis know what I thought.

It makes me sad to see so many accepting the Gore line without ever having heard any opposing arguments. You will not see those arguments on the BBC where most people get their news.

How can people know there is another side to this? How can we as a society make informed decisions? Decisions which will cost billions and affect us for decades to come. Those decisions had better be right and not based on fiction.

How did we get here? I suppose politicians are briefed on IPPC reports and get no counterbalancing arguments so they believe it. I hope the IPCC are using the top scientists in their fields but perhaps they aren't -
