is there any interest in either pair or Grenson Archie brogues size 9? they are quite a wide fitting (too wide for me really) so I think they come up a lot bigger than a 9. I usually wear a 10.5 in trainers and these aren't small on me.

yeah, i'd say it's a good price for new. there are no mounts for guards or racks on mine. not sure if that will hamper you on multi-day rides.
i just checked my tyres and they measure up as about 29mm wide and there is loads of extra room at the front and a little bit of extra room at the back

I have given up on DIYing the waste myself and have asked someone to come round and fix it for me tomorrow. @ andos & skinny: i couldn't find a screw inside the waste

my basin is leaking here but I can't figure out how to remove the waste to repair or replace. the bottom half of the waste (circled in green) seems to thread into the top half that the plug fits into but when I turn the bottom half, the top half turns too.

looking online, most wastes have something you can jam a screwdriver into stop it turning but mine has nothing apart from a couple inset rubber bits.

anyone know how to do it? (sorry if this isn't the DIY thread, I couldn't find one)

also interesting that tories have been haemorrhaging votes to reform but they seemed to be scared to attack them. the putin comments are the first time they have had a go. it's hard to see how the tories can attack reform's general stance since they want to appear as tough as possible on immigration and they both have unfunded manifestos

hilarious that those banners barely have the party name at all. all these minor Tories betting that their own personal brand is worth more votes than their party's

he got pulled up about his claims that britain has higher growth than the US. sunak's numbers are from a single quarter. nick robinson quoted the numbers for the last year and for the period since the start of covid (some thing like 8% for the US, 0.5% for UK) and it was deliciously excruciating.
